I am fairly new to the area and hadn’t been to an eye doctor in several years. I needed a new prescription and took a chance on this practice. I am so happy with the care and kindness. Dr Buck was very thorough in his exam as well as explaining exactly what he looked at and found. The staff has been extremely kind and helpful. Thank you Peninsula Eye Care!! I have a new eye care home! 😎

I needed to reschedule my daughter's appointment for contacts and was told she couldn't be seen again for six months. When I explained that she needs contacts for school next month and that her rx has expired, the staff suggested I buy her new glasses and make her wear those for six months until they can see her. Unacceptable. I had to give up an appointment. Surely there was another patient out there that would have loved to come in a week or two or even a month earlier, that they could have swapped us with. The doctors here are great and very thorough. And there was a time when it was possible to get an appointment within six weeks or so. But those days are long gone. The staff has become uncaring and won't even pretend to want to be helpful or problem solve. I have no choice but to find another eye doctor for my significant other, myself, and our kids. The good news is, after losing five patients today it might be easier for the rest of you to get appointments. 😉

Edit: My husband had his annual exam about a month ago. They neglected to include a special test that they say they need. So, instead, they made him schedule another appointment then charged him another $49 co-pay, with no mention beforehand that he’d be charged because they forgot to perform a test. Original: I got a postcard reminding me to make my monthly exam, because it was due in about a month. I called the vet next day and was told I had to wait SIX MONTHS. Their front office folks somehow haven’t figured out how to start scheduling people for their next exam when they go for their annual. Completely unapologetic as well. But definitely not worth my time reasoning with them either. Edit: I just called and canceled my appointment. The receptionist was curt from the get-go, and did not even ask if I’d like to reschedule. She knows what she’s doing, and she does not care. Such a terrible attitude. Dr. Buck is great. It’s his admin that’s screwing it up. It’s upsetting that he would allow this to happen under his nose. If you like unnecessary visits/costs and waiting 6 months past due dates to be seen, this is the place for you.
