We have been patients here for a few years and I have to say the care is top notch and the staff professional and knowledgeable. All of the products they sell, they stand behind, and the workmanship and care given is better than many other optical shops. The doctors are top of their field and the opticians equally as skilled.

Experience began by not being acknowledged or asked to sit down.
( I stood the entire time)
After I explained what I needed I was asked if I purchased the glasses there
( I had). Without looking up, he searched the computer. made a phone call, and told me the frames were 6 years old and could not be fixed.
I then explained they had been fixed there before, but he indicsted nothing he could do and handed me my glasses barely looking at me.
In addition to Frank's poor attitide...He did absolutely nothing to see if there was anything else he could do OR try to sell me a new pair of glasses...which I probably would have bought...Worst
customer service EVER.
Customer of Penn Optical for many years...now reconsidering and will no longer recommend.

I’ve been a patient here for a few years and have found that each time I go, my experience is worse than the last time. I find that clinicians do not truly care about patients and there are never appointments available. If you have any unique eye conditions/require unique lenses, I would not recommend coming here. I will say, the optician who helped me order glasses was great, but the ophthalmology staff were not. The front desk staff are also pretty rude.
Personal service. Great selection of lenses.
Many more options than a typical optical shop, great staff
My optical shop went out of business and I need a new one. I stopped in to this shop during a visit to Penn Medicine @ Radnor. I had brief interactions with three employees - none made eye contact, each made me feel as though my presence in the shop was annoying to them. The Scheie Eye Institute has a great reputation, this shop would be convenient, and this shop takes my vision insurance - but, I don't think I'll come back.

Don't even acknowledge you when you walk up. Completely ignore you until they are free from other customers. Been standing here 20 mins, have an appointment, no acknowledgement or "hey sorry we are running over appt times."

No one calls you back when you are looking for a status for glasses that are way over the expected date of arrival. I won't be returning to the Opitcal Department at Radnor. If I could I would cancel the glasses and take my prescription somewhere else to be filled.
