My son and I both had a great experience here. We had previously been with another eye care clinic but I wasn't sure about the results so I decided to schedule him for a second opinion with Portland Eye Clinic and I was definitely reassured. Dr. Tam Nguyen was very thorough and double checked all the area where I had concerns. She was also able to located a new issue that was not found at previous clinic. She was very personable and friendly and able to connect with my son given his phobia for doctors. I truly appreciated the service all around and am happy to find my son's new eye care clinic. Thank you so much!!

Great customer service and great with kids! I brought my busy two year old boy in for an exam and he never wants to stop moving. They knew how to engage him and make the appointment as easy going as could be for a two year old. Michael was the receptionist and examiner and he was wonderful. Thank you!

This place is so great. The location is so convenient, and the staff is very accommodating and kind. They were able to schedule a next-day appointment for me, and it was so helpful to be able to be seen at 5 pm. I will be seeing them every year for as long as I live in the area. Thanks team!

Well with all the good reviews I expected better. I'm experiencing a black spot of missing vision in the lower right quadrant of my right eye. I used to work for an ophthalmologist so I know very well what this could mean and how urgent it could be. Possible retinal tear, retinal hole, risk of detachment, permanent vision loss. A good clinic would triage a patient and if it's a potential emergency find a way to get a way to get them in, even if they had to double book, because when you're dealing with potential vision loss you don't screw around. And on the weekend your only other option would be the ER where they don't staff an ophthalmologist. Instead I got the runaround with someone who sounded like they were about 12 years old, half asleep, bored and/or just plain clueless - telling me they can get me in in 3 or 4 weeks. The complete lack of engagement, concern or adult professionalism is not consistent with the reviews on Google. I mean it honestly just sounded like she just didn't care. And this is definitely not the kind of impression I would want one of my employees a patient calling on the phone. I wonder if I end up having a rental detachment that could have been prevented through proper triage, and suffer consequent vision loss if I can sue this clinic for not following proper triage procedure for an optical emergency. Worth exploring in the event that happens. Generally I'm not the suing type but it really bugs me on someone just passes the buck because it doesn't affect them personally and they just don't care if someone else is injured. I'd say that's definitely the wrong type of person to be in any kind of medical field in any capacity.

This clinic has a very professional approach. My daughter has been going here for the past 4 years and we have gotten the best results in the shortest amount of time. They are flexible in scheduling, quick servise.

I am so grateful I called this office! Lina was so nice and got me on a waitlist for a last minute appointment while I was on a trip. The whole staff were very friendly and listening to help me figure out things with both logistics and my light sensitive eyes. I got a referral to a neurologist for light sensitivity and they really helped accommodate me during the visit. I cannot recommend them enough! Fantastic office with very nice people!

I visited Portland Eye Clinic for the first time today for an eye exam. I was very impressed by the care to get things right that Tam Nguyen had with me. She did more tests than I was used to at the other place I usually go to and is even going to let me try different options for comfort and fit before actually purchasing my contacts for the year. Though I only came here because it was in my network for care, I will continue coming here for my eye care needs and yes I will be purchasing my contacts here when we find what suits me best.

Came in to see about a new pair of glasses as my kiddos had been broken but they were able to make an adjustment and fix them right away! They were extremely helpful.

Was great all the way through, receptionist and doctor were both respectful and helpful and made sure the whole experience was easy, quick, and importantly clean. Edit: A month later and follow-up care has been excellent, they were helpful and understanding in dealing with a mistake that the glasses manufacturing lab made, and have providing free no hassle adjustments since receiving my new pair.
