Dr.Andrews and staff were great. I believe I was checked in by Amanda, who was very nice, a great listener, and explained everything about the check-in. Dr.Andrews was very helpful and thorough, taking her time to address all my questions. I got my script right then & there. Irrelevant to me, they had a kiddie area with tv and toys- they offer child and adult exams, child glasses, but refer out for frames for adults.

Puget Sound Eye Care, Seattle, WA. I’ve been going to Jennifer Andrews, O.D. for many years now, her clinical expertise & diagnostic thoroughness makes you feel comfortable! She always takes her time and explains everything so you know exactly what to expect and the plan moving forward. If you’re looking to change or need a new O.D. I would highly recommend her! I had a great experience with this clinic! I needed to get in for a decently severe eye infection and they were the only ones open on a Saturday, and they got me fixed up that same day! They were quick to diagnose and took all the necessary …

Constantly seen 1-1.5 hours past appointment. Dr. Andrew's forgot to order my contacts 3-4 times pushing my fittings out months. Each time I saw her, she seems to know nothing about me as if it were the first time meeting. I've been coming here for 3 years and it's always been this way.

I'm conflicted about the experience. When in person the care was great. But I have now called three different times to check on the details about my contact lens and I haven't been able to receive a response. It doesn't seem typical but it doesn't feel great.

I came here for a routine annual eye exam and ended up with an unexpected charge that I was never clearly told would cost extra. I only found out about this “extra” diagnostic test when the bill arrived. When I disputed the charge, the billing department repeatedly pointed to generic forms I signed at check‑in, instead of acknowledging that there was no specific verbal disclosure that this test would generate an additional out‑of‑pocket cost. They refused to adjust the charge as a courtesy, even though I made it clear I would have declined the test if the cost had been explained.Patients should be clearly told, in plain language, when something during a “routine” exam is optional and will result in extra charges. I won’t be returning and would urge others to ask very specific questions about costs before agreeing to any additional testing here.

Opted for retinal scan package thinking it would replace the need for pupil dilation. Wasn't told the recommended package was in addition to dilation so opted not to have the latter. The front desk should include all of this information. …

Don't go here if you have anything beyond the smallest prescription.
I have a relatively high prescription. I picked a frame from their small available range, was told nothing about potential issues with the frames I got. When the lenses came back, they were sticking out 0.5 INCH OUTSIDE THE FRAME!
then they remembered to tell me the frame is not a good choice. They let me pick a different frame and relens it for me, but they had barley 2 frames that could fit the needs and I did not like them. I ended buying a cheap pair online and still had the pay the lensing cost simply because I didn't want to deal with them anymore. They have no idea how lensing work and they hand it out to some who's doing a really bad job with the finish.
In Fremont eye care I got my frames lensed there and then in 30min, talking to the lens crafters on the spot.it could be better.

I had a contact lens fitting appointment today and everything went smoothly. Doctor Alex Ono made the appointment fun and opticians, Kai and Mark were professional and friendly.
An extra shoutout to Mark who conducted the contact lens training session. He was patient, kind and extremely helpful enabling me to get contacts in and out three times on my own. I have a strong blinking reflex so have always been anxious when it comes to contacts but I left the clinic feeling confident and capable!

I saw Dr. Tran. He was Superbly thorough, explaining concisely every step. My best exam experience. The staff were congenial, my Intake specialist was delightful. Adjacent is Optical Solutions, where phoebe helped me choose frames & explained my insurance coverage/lenses. My only disappointment is that I have to wait 2 weeks for my new spex.

This eye care is much more expensive than others! After we paid for the myopic control plan, which is $800. I realized that does not include the prescription for Atropine, which is ~72$ per month = 864, so the annual cost is 1664. I tried …

It is an absolute joy to see Dr. Whitten! I feel so lucky to have such a kind and excellent eye doc! I always look forward to my exams with her and I know that I'm in good hands. Thanks for all that you do!!
Also shoutout to Dr. Ono who is amazing! He helped me in the middle of the night during an eye emergency and was so compassionate. He was incredibly helpful and made sure I was completely taken care of. Thank you Dr. Ono!!

Horrible service. They sent me an email for 11:45am appointment, I’m 8 minutes late, and they say they can’t see me because I’m late. Then they blame me saying the appointment was for 11:40am, even though I showed them the email confirming 11:45am. I’ve never heard of any service where you don’t take a customer for being 8min late. I might have even been closer to just 7 minutes late because the receptionist checked the computer and then had to go into the back to check with the doctor for a couple of minutes. But guess I’m glad I won’t be using them going forward, I can’t imagine having to work with people like this for future appointments and care.

I've been bringing my disabled daughter to them for most of her life & she's also had eye Surgery. They have been very good at using unconventional ways to check her eyesight. We usually go the the Seattle location but my daughter needed to be seen urgently so we went to the Bellevue location.

I was referred to puget sound eye care from another optometrist. They are very knowledgeable and walked me through the process. Exceptional service from the front desk to the optometrist and ending with ordering my son his glasses. Thank you so much to everyone that helped me. I am very thankful for your service.

The visit was okay, but it wasn't great. I wouldn't go back with kids. We saw an assistant who didn't give his name, and Dr. Carlson.
Some tips for the staff that may make this better for future patients (especially people with kids). Please introduce yourself when you come in so we know who you are and what your job is. Also, please describe what's going to happen at the appointment before you start so we (and the kids) know what to expect. Lastly, if you have a diagnosis or concern please wait until the end to give it to us so we can fully understand the diagnosis and aren't in the middle of trying to help wrangle a child through an exam.

Dr. Andrews is one of the most concerned and considerate eye doctors ever. I appreciate her spending extra time to assist with complex eye issues, even though solutions are nuanced.

Bad experience here. My doctor got my prescription wrong, and it took me 40 minutes in my follow up appointment to convince the tech that I needed a new prescription. She adjusted it on her own, never consulting the doctor. Absolutely won't be back.

I’ve been going to Puget sound eye care seeing Dr. Curtis Ono for about 3 decades. He is an amazing doctor (as well as a person) and I amalways so excited to see him. I have a rare genetic disorder when it comes to my eyes, so being able to see someone that has a clue on what they’re dealing with is so relieving. I know I am in good hands! Plus, his son recently started at the practice so I am even more confident on being taken care of for another 3 decades! 💕 he has always been extremely patient, kind, a d supptive when it comes to me and my family. Would 100% recommend!

Ellie at reception made me feel right at home for my first appointment at Puget Sound Eye Care. I felt supported and listened to throughout the experience. Dr John Tran was thorough and did a great job of relaying results. I've found my home for eye health.

We'd been seeing Dr. Carlson for my child for nearly ten years, and he is very polite and professional. I'm super grateful that he accepted Medicaid (not sure if it's true now) during my difficult time. Otherwise, I would've given 0 star.
I don't have many complaints about the eye clinic, although they clearly treat you differently depending on how much you are paying. If you are paying out of pocket for a program that insurance doesn't cover, instead of getting only basic services covered by insurance (like Apple Health), I am sure your child gets to choose a free toy (cheap ones, but it's still something to a child). Scheduling an appointment is tough. You have to wait a few months to see a doctor, or a resident/student optometrist will be assigned to your child. That being said, I feel those are understandable. Anyway, we are human beings with different values.
The reason I wanted to write this review is actually about their eyeglass store, Optical Solutions. With the same quality, their frames and lenses are much more expensive than those of other businesses. They have you pay up front, even before they figure out what insurance will cover. Unfortunately, some of the assistants cannot read or understand the insurance benefits plan.
A couple of weeks ago, I ordered eyeglasses for my child. The assistant spent much time reading the insurance statements again and again, but couldn't understand what was covered or not. Eventually, he got me to pay $280. The next day, I felt somewhat uncomfortable and verified with insurance about the coverage (My bad, didn't check on the spot). My gut feeling was right, and I ended up getting $150 refund.
I also noticed that they charged me $130 upfront for transition last year. Interestingly, the insurance company reimbursed them for the full cost of the glasses. That is, they overcharged $130, and never gave me (or maybe insurance) back the balance. This is not a crazy large amount, but something is certainly wrong.
If you really want to or have to use their services, I would recommend being aware of the "tricks" they play on you.
