I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old and was treated by dozens of doctors, Dr. Nguyen gave me the MOST thorough eye exam in my life and spotted an eye threatening disease that everyone else missed. He sent me to a specialist and I am eternally grateful! Thank You Dr. Nguyen!!

I went to go get my eye checked and he said I needed glasses for far and near so ok he told me I need bifocals I told him no I can’t use those I told his receptionist I don’t want bifocals he heard and told her no she has to have bifocals and again I stressed to him no but she ordered those and I bought a pair for far plus I made them into sunglasses cause I have a problem with the sunlight it makes my eyes water and hurts and I can’t see so he told me it’s cause of cataract well upon me picking up my glasses they are too wide I can’t see my bifocals are really blurry. I will never return to that place again

This optometry office would be the last business I recommend to friends and family. Unless you had nowhere else to go, I would suggest another business with better customer service. Tina, I don’t know what your problem is - maybe you’re trying to save money by cutting corners - idk but that’s not even the worse part. You need to take classes on how to improve your customer service skills. The first time I come in as a new patient, I come in for my annual eye-glass exam. I am also primarily a contact user so I have contacts in my eyes when I come in for the visit. Tina tells me that I cannot be seen if I do not remove my contacts. Which is fine, so I ask for disposable contact cases to which she answers, they do not have nor do they provide. I tell her then I must reschedule this appointment as I cannot just toss this pair of contacts since I drove myself to this office. She then insists they do not reschedule appointments but now she has a solution! She is willing to LEND me a contact case in which I will need to give back to her after my eye glass exam. Ok, first off, that is really gross and unsanitary! I hope to G- that she didn’t give me used contact cases. When I’m finally seen by the actual doctor - he was really nice and helpful. They must not be on the same page because when I walk into the exam room, I apologize that I didn’t have my own contact case on hand - to which he replies, “It’s okay! We have plenty!” Then when it’s time to choose my glasses, Tina is the only one present to help. The process was so quick and she just seemed impatient to get me out of there. Well today, I return 4 weeks later to pick up my glasses. I was the one to take initiative and call the office yesterday asking for the status of my glasses. Conveniently, Tina tells me yes they just arrived today. Yeah, sure I don’t believe you but whatever. I come in to pick up my glasses and I ask for a glasses wipe which are usually complimentary- to which she informs me the glasses don’t come with one but one is available for purchase. Total night and day from this optometry office and my regular optometry, Tracy optometry (located in Tracy and the reason why I decided to give this place a try since it’s in town). I will never come back here again.

Had a great experience! Everyone was so polite and so accommodating. For sure referring everyone I know to go here. Selection of glasses isn’t huge but you for sure will find something you like. Went over my insurance coverage while selecting add ons to my glasses.

Do not go here! Receptionist was rude was not helpful at all. Wanted to speak to the doctor to get more information for my grandpa’s vision status with his permission and him agreeing in front of her, gave the whole run around only for her to not provide any information, not even a prescription.

I was reading the comments and Im glad I wasnt crazy. Because I honestly went 2 years ago and I got the feeling that BOTH the Dr and his wife (Receptionist) weren't very friendly. Im all thinking to myself, What did I do? I felt it more from the Dr than the Receptionist however. Im very receptive to feelings with ppl and the only way i can describe it is I felt like he was disgusted by me. I never went back, but i never got to write my review so I am now. Also, when I picked up my glasses, It was wrong. Could have been the company they sent it tos fault but They did have to send it out again for me to pick up later.

Trying to make an appointment was challenging, (tina)but we finally were able to get an appointment. Will finish review after my visit in February. Waste of time, went in didn't even complete my eye exam which would show I am medically necessary for contacts. Wanted to charge 90$ "stated this will happen to any doctor you go to" waited 2 weeks for appointment. All to be told they don't cover a contact lense exam, which is true, but if they completed the medical eye exam, they would cover the contact exam. I know this is stockton, but lack of customer service and language barrier is an issue. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Had called to reschedule a appointment because this would be my 1st time their and i didnt get a reminder call as i thought i would like other places do, so i missed it,but when i called to reschedule the lady was quite rude telling me it would be 40$ to pay her now over the phone when that didnt sound right to me she seemed eager to hang up when i was deciding if it was worth the 40$ she said i could just come by then to drop it off then she would make me an appointment i kindly asked would my medical cover that just out of curiosity and she said no when i figure how i wanted to pay shell give me a appointment. Kinda off to me if thats their policy why not say that from the jump and why not throw that out their that they do not give reminder calls and if you miss we will charge you a 40$ fee?

I had my eyes ,my husband and my grandsons eyes all checked ,the receptionist seemed kinda rude . I didn't like the service I received and they were not helpful at all when it came to picking out the frames. Their selection is very limited and ugly. I will not refer anyone to this office nor will I take my family back to that office

I came here because they excepted my insurance I noticed they have really bad reviews on yelp, after further assessment I can for sure say this small optometrist practice is the best. They are really thorough in checking your vision they took photos of my eye on two different machines and checked my eyes on this machine that enhances the alphabet to check the distance they found things in my eyes that zeiter missed this my first time I ever needing glasses this year I will be a repeat customer

I appreciate having a dr in person and explained in detail about the eye exam. He took his time with each patient.

My daughter and I went in today to get checked and then got some frames. Clean office, the receptionist and dr were both very kind and professional. We were thankful they take medical and had great choices in frames. Would recommend.

The secretary is rude and dismissive, I was going to be a new patient, but decided if this was how I’m going to be treated my first visit with them then I’m better off somewhere else.
