I have been coming to Doctor Ratchford for many years. She is one of the most talented and gifted Doctors that I have known. Her expertise in eye care is unbelievable and her passion for patient care is outstanding. The Ratchford Eye Center is truly a remarkable place. A great atmosphere greets you when you walk in. You feel at home through your entire stay. The staff at Ratchford Eye Center is highly skilled, compassionate and work hard to ensure that the Eye Center is providing the best care possible for their patients. Sometimes it is quite busy, but is well worth the wait. Hats off to Dr Ratchford and the entire staff at the Ratchford Eye Center !

Dr Ratchford is an excellent doctor and a very caring person. She cares about her patients and does an excellent job. I am a person who doesn’t like people putting eye drops in my eyes. I always close my eyes. She has the patience and she put the eye drops in my eyes. The staff is wonderful and very polite and caring. I recommend Dr Ratchford Eye Center for everyone . I have been going to the Eye Center for 5 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have been here several times with my mom since step dad passes away. The wait if unacceptable. People have lives. 2.5 hrs. Crazy! Not to mention she has prism lense and broke her glasses and have not not been able to get them straight. Most likely not returning!!

Dr Ratchford and staff are excellent. The place is modern and prompt most of the time. I highly recommend.

When you book an appointment, expect to go in/get called up to 1 hour or more . Constantly over-booking appointments. This needs to stop, this is why I cancel 6-month appointments to an annual visits. Dr. Rathchford is great, but I am not sitting in the lobby for 45+ minutes anymore. Appointments end up being 2+ hours, they need to do better.

Dr. Ratchford and her team are professional, friendly, timely, and thorough. Excellent bedside manner....love my perfect vision. Highly recommend!!!

The staff functions at the highest level of professionalism. Every employee is friendly/helpful and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and explain every step of the way as well as what they are doing. Doctor Brett Kjellen, OD is a really nice guy and helpful docter, but this year and last year, I waited VERY long for the appointment. Today I waited about 20 min for the tech/nurse to take me in, and ask their questions do my vision test, then I waited 37 minutes to be seen by Dr Kjellen. I was there for 1.5 hours total - unacceptable as a working person!! This is added on top of when I moved here last year and called, they said they take my insurance, only to find out they do not. They were nice enough, and my health insurance covered the visit after a co-pay, so I figured I'd give them another shot this year... So, I think after today's long appointment, I'll be looking elsewhere, especially for someone who takes my insurance.

Have been a patient for many years. They are always available for patients. Very professional,caring. Everything is explained in detail. You leave the office knowing you are in excellent hands. Highly recommend.

I have been a patient at Ratchford since it opened in Berlin and the staff are friendly and personable. The staff and Doctors are professional and show kindness to everyone. I’ve been coming to Ratchford for 8 years and I can’t say enough good things about this place. I’ve even had my husband switch over after he had a bad experience elsewhere. Everyone is always so amazing. Dr Kjellen is wonderful. So personable, friendly and professional. I ask a lot of questions and he’s always willing to not just talk at me but teach me so I understand what he’s saying. I’m also truly thankful that he was able to help a persistent eye problem I had post covid. Not only was he available to talk to me when I called with questions, but I had an appointment where he addressed my issue and it made such a difference. His knowledge is amazing. My cousin recommended Dr Ratchford to me after having a exam somewhere else and they suggested I might have glaucoma and down the road could lose my eyesight which frightened me. At my visit toThe Ratchford eye center I was given a thorough exam and testing from Dr Ratchford staff who were very professional and courteous. When Dr Ratchford read all my results and gave me a thorough exam of her own, she told me that I do not have glaucoma and with regular exams if there is any problems down the road there were treatments that she could do so I would not loss my eyesight. An excellent experience. Courteous, pleasant, helpful staff from the minute I walked through the door. Very little waiting time. Izzy, the technician did a thorough exam & made me feel very comfortable & at ease. Dr Ratchford was thorough & friendly. She explained things & was willing to take time to answer any questions. Everyone that I came in contact with during my appointment helped to put me at ease and make the experience pleasant. Because of the condition of my eyes, I have previously had appointments with other eye MDs, some very good but most recently some quite unpleasant and unsettling. So, considering my previous experiences, I was extremely pleased with Dr. Ratchford and all of the staff. I am very comfortable with Dr. Ratchford and I feel confident in her knowledge and skills and, most importantly, I truly appreciate her ability to communicate with me as to what is going on with my eyes. Dr Ratchford took excellent care of my late father over the years. He used to say “You can’t help but like her”. She is now my eye doctor. I truly like and respect her!! Dr. Ratchford makes you feel as if you are her only patient. Very knowledgeable and personable!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ratchford for several years and she’s personable and exceptionally good at her job. She and all of the staff with whom I’ve interacted are top notch. It’s a busy practice and wait times can be long, in the waiting room and exam room. (reason for 4 stars instead of 5.) I tolerate the wait times because she’s that good. The office is in a stand alone building which is modern and spic and span clean. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and highly recommend this office.

I have been a patient of Dr.Ratchford for many years and always have a great experience. The office is clean and the staff very nice. Patients are called with appointment reminders and an automated message with a birthday greeting adds a caring touch. From check-in to the last task of setting your next annual appointment, everyone is pleasant and the eye care is thorough and comprehensive. I have a double appointment for contacts at general eye health, both Dr kjellen and Dr Ratchford are top notch. I am so glad my coworker referred me many years ago and highly recommend Ratchford Eye Center for your eye care.
