My go-to eye doctor for many years now! During eye exams, Dr Kevin Reckley always seems to know how to relate to customers and is ready for conversation. The office staff are kind and helpful as well. I do recall one staff lady that wasn't great with customers. Once when I came in for a frame adjustment, she got irritated and didn't understand when I tried to describe how my glasses didn't feel level when worn. As I recall, this assistant had little patience, and fortunately doesn't appear to work here any longer. Other than that isolated incident a few years ago, I've always met quick and kind service at this office. An easy recommendation!

First, I would give Dr Reckley 5 stars. I took off a star because my experiences with the receptionists. I would give them 1 star. Zero if that was possible. I have been going to Dr Reckley since I was 14years old(2009). My prescription for my glasses and contacts were always perfect. One year, I was waiting for the phone call that I could pick up my new contacts. It usually took about two weeks max. I waited and waited. When it had been four weeks I decided to go into the office to check what was taking so long. I told the receptionist my situation and once she located my file she changed into a rude tone and said “wE hAvE LeFt THREE vOiCeMAiLs”. She told me the number they were calling… IT WAS THE WRONG NUMBER. I have never changed my phone number with them. They mistakenly wrote down this number on my file AND THEY WERE CALLING THE WRONG NUMBER FOR MY CONTACTS. She didn’t even apologize, she just silently went to retrieve my contacts. Fast forward a few years. I got LASIK in December 2018. Part of the procedure’s warranty states that I need annual eye exams. I changed my insurance to only included the price of the eye exam because I don’t need glasses anymore. WELL… I went in this office and when the receptionist was checking my insurance she very loudly and rudely announced “tHiS oNLy CoVeRS tHe ExaM. YoU cANt eVeN gEt GLasSeS.” She sounded annoyed!!? IF I WAS THERE TO GET GLASSES OR NOT. THAT. WAS. NOT. HER. PROBLEM. And it definitely was not correct to announce it to the whole room. If he reads this, I’m sure it won’t be hard for Dr Reckley to recognize the attitude of a particular receptionist. It’s so unfortunate because the women at the front desk are the face of the office. I didn’t want to go elsewhere before because this office already had my history and prescription. But, like I said, I got LASIK and I only need the exam so I’ll go elsewhere. Dr Reckley has been wonderful! He has seen me grow up. Thank you for the past 14 years.

Dr. Kevin Reckley has been my optometrist since I was a little girl. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over 30 years ago, & he has always stressed to me the importance of having controlled diabetes as it can affect the retinas of my eyes. He takes his time with me every year to do a thorough exam to ensure I’m not developing diabetic retinopathy. He is very knowledgeable, hands-on, & actually cares about his patients. He has all the latest, up to date technology so the exams are relatively quick & very accurate. Recently, I was having an issue with seeing up close, although I was diagnosed as near-sighted. He completed the exam & said, “Well, you have Presbyopia”. I was like, “Oh no, what is that?!” He then replied, “Its just old age!” He has a great sense of humor—which made me feel better & relieved it was nothing serious. He recommended me to get some reading glasses, since the several samples of the multi-focal lenses he provided didn’t work for me. His staff has also been very helpful when I have needed to schedule an appointment or get new glasses or contacts. I have stopped by the office on occasion without an appointment, & they took their time to do adjustments to my glasses at no charge. I have also had several insurance changes throughout the years, & they have always told me up front what my insurance covers before they do anything. The awesome care I have received at this office always keeps me coming back! Thank you again Reckley Eye Care for taking care of me for several decades!
