Retina Los Angeles in Encino is outstanding, and I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Moysidis and the entire team. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, calm, and genuinely caring. Everyone was friendly, organized, and constantly made me feel safe and taken care of. Dealing with unexpected retina issues is scary, and when I was frightened, they said all the right things. Reassuring without being dismissive, which is rare and hugely appreciated. Dr. Moysidis’ demeanor was incredible. He was steady, compassionate, and explained everything clearly. What really stood out was how accessible he was. The best example: he fit me in at 5 PM when he was already locking up for the night. That kind of effort and humanity is everything when you’re scared and need help. A special shout-out to his tech, Sara, who was wonderful. She was kind, patient, and walked me through each step so nothing felt intimidating. If you’re looking for a retina specialist in Los Angeles, especially if you’re anxious or dealing with sudden changes, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Moysidis and Retina Los Angeles in Encino more highly. Truly top-notch care from start to finish.

I had a retina tear and I saw Dr. Nicole Koulisis who traumatized me with her insensitivity on how she treats me. I was in pain from the eye lasering. I told her and she just kept going. I pushed my head back into the chair while gripping the arm rests. Once she was done lasering my eye, she told me to take my time adjusting to my sight as she turned on the lights and said I can wait out front. I had to ask the receptionist for eye covering (the temporary suncovers that go under your glasses or sunglasses). The nurse was the only person who was nice during my visit. Because of how I was treat, I changed my retina specialist for my follow up care and I will never go back to that doctor again.

Dr Moysidis and his staff are very caring and answered the questions that my mother had before her eye injections. We have been coming to appointments for more than six months and her vision has improved thanks to the eye injections administered by Dr Moysidis and the follow up care from the staff.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Moysidis and his wonderful staff. I was diagnosed with wet Mac and need shots in both eyes on a regular basis. Without a doubt, under the care of Dr Moysidis it is the easiest medical treatment I’ve ever had. He is gentle, caring and patiently answers all of your questions. Anyone looking for a fantastic Retinologist look no further.

I came to him with a detached retina that I had (unfortunately) procrastinated getting checked out for far too long. Dr. Moysidis made a quick and thorough diagnosis, carefully explained everything in detail, and scheduled me for surgery right away. Throughout my interactions with him, I was continually impressed by his kindness, patience, and genuine concern for my well-being. Dr. Stavros Moysidis is a phenomenal doctor and I am very grateful for his healing of my complicated retinal tear. He is an excellent surgeon and very comforting to his patients. To begin with, I can confirm that previous reviews for Retina LA are absolutely true and I say that based on my personal experience. I had a retina detachment during an overseas trip and my Opthalmologist sent me straight to Dr Moysidis in a Tue afternoon at 5pm. Dr Moysidis and the staff stayed late to accommodate me. Due to the urgency of the issue, they wanted to do surgery right away and had me scheduled for surgery, day after my initial visit. I have dealt with many world class physicians but have never experienced the courteousness, promptness, and professionalism exhibited by Dr Moysidis, Dr Koulisis, and their staff. My surgery was on Friday and Dr Moysidis came in office on Saturday for post-op follow up. The professionalism and care shown is truly not something one sees these days with medical professionals. I'm glad we found Retina LA and will be using them and referring them to all friends and family. Thank You, Dr Moysidid, Dr Koulisis, and Retina La staff for caring about your patients and for taking such good care of your patients.

My brother was diagnosed with a very serious infection in his eye, and his ophthalmologist sent us straight away to Dr. Stavros Moysidis at Retina Los Angeles. Dr. Moysidis made the diagnosis, and let us know that there was a 50/50 chance that my brother would lose the eye. We proceeded with treatment, and thank goodness, the sight has been restored to that eye. Since my brother has glaucoma, the other eye has almost no vision, and he would have been blind without the good Doctors assistance. I am so thankful I Retina Los Angeles! I was visiting the area when I had an issue with my eye on a Sunday evening. Fortunately, through two other offices, I was referred to Retina Los Angeles. I was shocked to have Dr. Moysidis himself answer the after hours call himself. But this was only the start of my experience with his unbelievable commitment to eye healthcare. We were six hours from home, so when he said he wanted to see me in a week, I had to think for a moment. I definitely know I made the right decision to travel back down to see him in a week. He is the guy you want taking care of your vision. You will never find a more committed physician and Dr. Moysidis, nor more helpful staff.
