Not sure why Dr Johnston doesn't get 5 stars from everyone because he is awesome. Do we have to wait sometimes? Yup! Just like people had to wait when my son had to have emergency retina surgery but this is part of the deal. He is SO good!! Glad to have him!!

Maybe he's a good doctor, but the horrendous customer service is what stands out after a visit to his office. Patients consistently wait for hours for their appointment and he simply doesn't care and never expresses any concern or offers any apologies for his poorly run office.

My wife, Nancy, told me this Monday morning that she hadn’t been able to see out of her right eye since Saturday! Deja Vu, my mother in law did the same thing 45 years ago. As an MD, I knew it probably meant retinal detachment . Our regular eye clinic got her in right away, confirmed the diagnosis, and referred her to Dr Johnston. There was a long wait, but one would expect that being “worked in,” especially on a Monday. Long story short, she was evaluated. Treated with laser to a retinal tear in her left eye, and scheduled for surgery for the detachment in a few days. His staff was attentive, friendly. Although I spent hours in the car at both clinics due to COVID restrictions, I was eventually able to see photos and discuss with him. So far, great service and care
