I was able to schedule an appointment the next day with Dr. Risco. I was signed in by a staff member who then performed varies tests. Dr. Risco started her exam. She was very professional & knowledgeable. She answered all my questions. I will definitely return for annual exams.

Very pleased with whole process: quick appointment date, reminder call, no waiting for my Dr. Exam, tests were very reasonable, Dr. Let me know my vision had changed very little and it was not necessary to get new glasses unless I wanted. What a pleasant surprise. I will definitely go back and get a new pair when I am ready.

Dr. Risco was extremely kind and thorough! I had never had an eye exam that was that detailed and thorough, she made sure that every base was covered and that the prescription was exactly right for my sight. Will definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend her over any other Costco optometrist in OC.

Dr.Diana was very on top of everything! I was nervous to come in as I haven’t had my eyes checked in a long time. But the second I stepped foot into her office she made me feel very comfortable and seen! 10/10 would come back just for Dr.Diana. She was really great and amazing. Same with Brian who helped us find our glasses in the optical department. He was really patient and answered all of our questions we had. Very excited for my new glasses to come in.

My first impression is that office personnel is knowledgeable, and the sign in South Carolina process was fairly simple.

My mom went for an exam at this optical clinic on 8/9/2025. The male staff at the front desk is not friendly does not smile at all and does not even say thank you. We will never do business again here I will also complain and report about this optical clinic to Costco Garden Grove they should be out of the premises of Costco Garden Grove and replaced with an optical clinic that has good customer service

I have been seeing Dr. Risco for close to 10 years. She is a top-notched optometrist. She is professional and caring. Her prescription has helped to relieve unnecessary strain/effort of my eyes caused by natural aging. My vision has been stable during this time under her care. Dr.'s office members are professional: friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, accurate, caring, ... etc. Then, the optical department is only 3 steps away. Staffers are again professional, intelligent, friendly, ... etc. In addition, it houses a large selection of high value (= very reasonably priced vs. high performance) frames AND reliable craftsmanship of lenses. It is always a pleasure to work with Dr. Risco and GG Costco's Optical department. I highly recommend this practice.👍

Doctor was thorough in the contact exam process asking how the previous prescription was and if there were any concerns. This is a great place to get your prescription for lenses/glasses.

Dr Risco was very friendly and clear throughout my eye exam. She answered every question of mine and customized my summary based on my history and evaluation. That’s exactly what I was looking for. In addition, I was fortunate that she could fit me in when she did. Just a great experience and I would recommend her to any other Costco members

Thank you for the prompt appointment and professional staff. However, a gentleman called me into the office without introducing himself, and the tests felt rushed. Instructions were often unclear or confusing, casting doubt on the prescription's accuracy. For safety, I plan to re-test with another optometrist. Can you clarify who Diana Risco is? I strongly advise against using this practice.

I’ve gone to other optometrist who have tossed me to the side due to my tough situation but Dr. Kim Nguyen was very kind and understanding of my situation. Lenses have not worked out so I opted in for contacts. Dr. Kim was thorough with my examination. I appreciate the time she took with my examination and also her patience. Will definitely be returning for my follow up next year.

Been visiting this office for years now, and the staff is always top-notch! I go to Dr. Kim exclusively, and she's an excellent doctor. Her exams are quick and effective. Highly recommend!

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The Doctors take his time performing the eye exam, I never felt rush like other places.

Doctor Vy Duong is rude and not as friendly. The optometry technician (Thien) at the glasses counter are also rude. Customer standing in front talking to her but her eyes are at somewhere else as if she’s waiting on other people, then she kept on turning around talking and smiling with co-worker, showed no respect for client in front of her.

Everyone here is helpful, fast, and precise. My appointment lasted no longer than 20 minutes and I was off to buy my glasses. I highly recommend making an appointment here.

I wish I would have taken advantage of Costco eye care services sooner. I was in and out less than 25 minutes (no appointment) and much cheaper than chain stores. 10/10 recommend.

Came here to get a renewed eye prescription and a new set of contact lenses, and I had a great experience. Front desk receptionist was very friendly and attentive, and Dr. Kim Nguyen-bui took great care of me. Dr. Kim answered all of my questions, being very informative, and was very nice to me throughout the whole process. My exam cost about $130 without any insurance and my monthly contacts are estimated to cost around $140 for a six-pack. Would definitely come back here.

Easy check in and was being tested right at my appointment. Once pre-exam tests were complete I saw Dr. Riscoe. I love the way she takes time and explains everything that’s going on with my eye health. Great experience will be back again.

Cheerful and friendly staff, but also professional. Very thorough. I don't know anyone who likes eye exams, but these guys made me feel very welcome and right at home.

Very efficient and Promp! I've been coming here to get my eyes examined for a number of years and I wouldn't change this Dr's office for another!

Dr Duong was very informative about cataract surgery and the options I should have been given back in 2008. (My ophthalmologist at the time made decisions w/o informing me.) I felt very comfortable during the exam, and he and the staff are great folk.

Two of us walked in without appointment an hour before closing, and was well takened care of. Service was quick, professional, and thorough.
