I've gotten two eye exams and three pairs of glasses at Rx optical. I even got a pair of vintage glasses fitted with new prescription lenses for a relatively low cost. One of the best things about them is that they accept all types of insurance, including medicaid. I was able to get a new eye exam with my updated prescription and a pair of frames with lenses through medicaid without paying a single dollar out of pocket. However, you have VERY limited choices for frames if you are only using medicaid (literally less than 10 different choices for women) and if you have a more complex prescription like myself, only bifocals are covered, not progressives. That being said, I'm still very pleased with how easy and accessible the process was. The first time I had an exam and got frames with lenses I paid for everything since I had no insurance and I'm not sure exactly how much it was since it was years ago now, but I think everything altogether was about 600 (I did pick out a pair of Tiffany frames though which were over 200 I believe). If you have insurance though this is the place to go.

I placed an order for glasses almost a month ago. Since RX has become myeyedrcompany things have gone down hill.. Staff is nice, but..... there are places to get glasses in a day, and this is almost a month now... I will get eye exams from the Dr. there but I will never order products. And of course over $500.00 later and still no glasses is outrageous to me. You cant get your money back and go elsewhere, they have you trapped! I was suppose to get a call back today after they checked with the "lab" but of course no phone call.... At this point I don't think I'll ever go back. who knows if things will even be right.. praying the new glasses work when they come in (some day) and I can be done with this new company for good.

The store is clean, the machinery is clean, the doctor and staff are awesome! Went in before my exam to look at new frames and I was helped on a Friday afternoon. The ones I liked were added to my chart so when I had my exam they were able to quickly find what I had already looked at. Everyone was so helpful, kind, fun, and professional, overall I had an excellent experience!
