I had an appt with Dr Sabates to get a New prescription for eyeglasses. I went through all the testing, and Dr. Sabates told me that I had dry eye but didn’t tell me I needed to do anything about it. He gave me a new prescription. I took it to Walmart, and when the new glasses came back I could not see better but worse. I asked how different the prescription was compared to the last time I had one filled and she said it had gotten better which made absolutely no sense to me. I wasn’t seeing well with my old glasses, I needed a stronger prescription. I was given a weaker prescription. I went to see another eye doctor at KU, and was told he should have never given me a prescription until the dry eye was taken care of. I spent $700 for my new glasses. Aside from my co-pay I had to pay Dr. Sabates and I can’t use the glasses. I would give them a zero if I could.

Every experience on my visits have been great from check in to check out. The staff has a great chairside manner. I am so grateful to be a patient of Dr. Nelson Sabates. He is very thorough and caught the beginning of an eye problem for me that is to date no longer a problem. I could not ask for a better Dr. or Dr.'s office.

Dr Sniegowski is a great human being. He takes his time with you & is extremely kind. I only see him quarterly for right eye injections but it could have been yesterday the way he treats you as a friend. His staff are patient & helpful and they never rush you!!
