Dr Herretes and her staff were very informative and attentive. Made sure they understood my history, situation, and gave me all treatment options so I could make an informed decision on my plan of care. They did not rush through, explained everything in detail, and answered all my questions to the best of their ability. Even my what ifs and possible outcomes as there are never guarantees. Nothing in my plan of care was pushed or pressured. Information was provided so I could determine how I wanted to move forward. I was very impressed and comfortable with the whole visit. I felt heard and that my care/treatment as an individual was the utmost importance.

The doctor I saw was great, but I had a poor experience with payment. I just got a new insurance plan at the time and was uncertain if it had Eyemed when asked by the receptionist but said probably not. I was told to call the office back to confirm after I was serviced. I admit I forgot to call back, but heard nothing from them for a year. Then I got hit with a $200 bill saying I needed to pay ASAP or it would affect my credit. I no longer had the insurance plan because I'd gotten a new job. I called them and tried to explain that I forgot and never had any further correspondence or any initial bill. The woman who took my call was incredibly rude and condescending.

Dr. Desai is always very attentive to my concerns. She listens to me and that's important. This visit was made even better by her assistant Beatrice, who has a wonderful "bedside" manner!
