Dr. Amstutz, and all of his staff, were wonderful and made my surgery so pleasant. I had upper eyelid surgery about 18 days ago and I am so happy with the result - it is just what I was hoping for when I first began looking into surgery. Although I was having issues with my eyes and debated whether or not to get surgery, I am so glad that I did and that I chose to have Dr. Amstutz perform the surgery. He is so thorough, and I trusted his expertise and knowledge as he took great care to explain the procedure and what I could expect. He, along with his wonderful staff, made the experience so comfortable and easy - I am so grateful I chose Dr. Amstutz for this procedure!

For the past 5 years I have dealt with a constantly leaking eye. My right eye would drip everyday, some days worse than others. I had seen 5 different optometrists during that time and none of them were able to give me answers or solutions. I was told I had "dry eye", "bad quality tears", and (my personal favorite) "allergies in that one eye." Well, two months ago I developed an infection in my lacrimal duct that could not be ignored. I was referred to Dr. Amstutz. Dr. Amstutz informed me that I had a clogged tear duct that had now developed dacryocystitis and that I not only needed to have the abscess drained, but I would also need a dacryocystorhinostomy. I was frustrated to find out that I had been dealing with a clogged duct all these years and that it had gone unaddressed for so long. If it had been caught sooner, I most likely could have avoided surgery. All that being said, Dr. Amstutz was clear and concise in his explanations and made me feel at ease. I had the procedure done at Surgicare and everything went smoothly with no complications. I am happy to say that my eye has not leaked since having the procedure!! This is a big deal considering it has been a constant struggle for 5 years. I am thankful that I had the procedure and would highly recommend Dr. Amstutz to anyone dealing with the same issue.

I initially got a thorough exam and time spent with me to explain the exam and recommended surgery. BUT one day after my appointment I began having pain in my right eye due to the testing the day before. I called the office on a Thursday and left a message. No call back. I called again on Friday morning. I was frustrated and it showed. The girl who took the message was clearly irritated and sullen. I knew when I hung up that no one would return my call. And they didn't. So now I'm headed into the weekend with no help, no reassurance that my eye is going to be okay. The initial issue I visited about was my LEFT eye which had landed me in the hospital for five days. And now I'm experiencing some similar symptoms. Will I be in the hospital with this one? For an eye that was FINE when I walked into that office. I hope I can get some information on Monday.
