Dr. Motamedi is a great physician. He is patient, a good listener and will explain all options to you. He cares about the whole person and it shows in his work.

Dr. Motamedi was very kind and patient, and he used modern equipment to check my eyes in detail. During the exam, he noticed early signs of cataracts that no one else had pointed out before. I really appreciated how carefully he explained everything and even showed me the images from the machine so I could actually see what he was talking about. The staff were also very kind, and the team at For Eyes next door helped me find a great discount on my glasses.

Dr. Cohen is a genuinely lovely human being. I've never had a more enjoyable, satisfying visit to an optometrist. She was kind, helpful, and thorough. She educated me on how my eyes had changed since my last visit and even managed to knock 0.50 off of my prescription and improve my ability to read small text without having to go the route of bifocals. In a world where every OD feels obligated to charge $175 for a contact lens fitting, Dr. Cohen's fee was the most reasonable I've paid in the last 15 years. I walked away feeling like I had received what I paid for; so refreshing!

From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and professional, and Dr. Motamedi took the time to listen carefully to my symptoms—especially my persistent dry eyes and itchiness. After a thorough examination, Dr. Motamedi recommended the Optilight (IPL) treatment. The procedure was clearly explained beforehand, and I felt comfortable throughout. Within a short time after the sessions, I noticed a real improvement—my eyes feel much less dry, the constant itchiness has largely gone away, and my overall comfort and clarity have improved significantly. Dr. Motamedi didn’t just treat the symptoms—he addressed the underlying issues, answered all my questions, and followed up to make sure the treatment was working. Highly recommend!

Dr. Kohen is excellent and I would recommend her to anyone. Honestly, she changed my expectations of vision care with her professional and insightful approach to ensuring that prescriptions don’t just work; but that they are fine-tuned to optimize one’s visually acuity and lifestyle needs. I’ve seen dozens of O.D.s over the years and come to view routine eye exams as a rote, technology-driven process. Unlike other types of healthcare, it was more like getting one’s car inspected annually. It didn’t make any appreciable difference who did it as long as they were licensed. At any given time, I can name of any of the doctors that I see and discuss why I trust them, except for O.D.s. Title aside, I never felt that basic vision care involved the doctor-patient relationship that is critical to most people with any other medical/dental care decisions. I do now!

I recently went to see Dr. Kohen for dry eye treatment, and my eyes have never felt better. She provided the best care—she was attentive, kind, and took the time to answer all my questions. Also, Meredith at the front desk made booking my appointment a breeze. She’s friendly, organized, and kept everything clear and simple. Great experience all around! If you're looking for great eye care, this is the place and Dr. Kohen is who you want to see.

Dr. Motamedi was so helpful in figuring out a solution to my keratoconus after years of not being able to wear certain contacts. He fit me for a scleral lens that restored my vision and is comfortable for all day wear. So grateful for his expertise and would highly recommend him and his team.
