Dr. Shaw was kind and patient during my eye exam. He and his assistant Nicole worked to maneuver the electric scooter in the close confines of their office. I can't thank everyone enough for the assistance.

I can’t speak to Dr. Shaw’s expertise, I never got that far in the process. What I can verify is the total incompetence of his office staff. I arrived at my appointment having left home early to deal with the ridiculousness of parking at Costco on a Saturday. I was informed by the girl in the office that while I did have an appointment, somehow other people also had an appointment at the same time. She seemed very confused and could offer no expectation of how that happened. She said I could wait, but it might be up to 2 hours. I said no thanks and left. I certainly won’t be back.

I got my eyes examined by Dr. Shaw for the first time (Dec. 2025). He was extremely thorough and pointed out a couple of issues that he observed. He recommended that I see my ophthalmologist to check these out, which I greatly appreciate. Dr. Shaw is efficient, respectful, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him for routine eye exams.

My experience here was such a pleasure. This was my first eye exam so I was very nervous, but I was made to feel welcome as soon as I came in. The lady at the front desk and Dr. Shaw are both very kind and excellent at what they do.

Very friendly and easy to talk to. He seemed very competent. Dr. Shaw listened to what I was looking for. He was professional and answered all of my questions. I'll definitely be seeing him in the future, instead of my current eye doctor who brushed off my concerns when he gave me a prescription that was too strong. Also, the assistant I spoke with in person and on the phone was very pleasant and helpful.

I was a little hesitant to go to Costco because of the other negative reviews. But, I found Dr. Shaw to be super friendly and very competent. He took his time during the appointment and answered all of my questions. I walked out feeling like I had a great experience. I would definitely go back and see him again.

Dr. Shaw truly is a professional. He was very patient with me, helpful as well. However, I think he has at least 2 assistants, 1 is very very pleasant. The other? Not so much, as they say. Dr. Shaw, I just wanted to point that out to you in hopes that maybe you can discuss the matter with your staff.

Absolutely the worst person to have your eyes examined. He is not a doctor at all, now I know why there is no one waiting in line or why no is calling. Zero stars there are plenty of other real professionals willing to welcome your business. I've never written a review good or bad, but this person does not deserve to call himself a doctor. Beware please I've worn glasses since 10 years old, if you care about your eyes do not come HERE!!!!
