From the moment you walk in, to the time you meet the technicians, you are greeted with friendliness and efficiency.Tara/Sarah could not have been nicer, more professional or more knowledgeable than they were. Everything was explained to me from the choice in frame selection to my options in lenses. I began coming to Shepherd Eye Clinic in 1978 and must admit the frequency of my visits has increased as I have gotten older but the care has never changed. In my opinion, they remain the gold standard in eye care.

The appointment was quick and easy. I like Dr.Theodosis very much. He was the MD that performed both of my cataract surgeries. I go to him for follow up annual visits. He is a nice and caring individual. I highly recommend Dr. Theodosis and Shepherd Eye Center.

Was seen at the appointed time. But like all other appointments waiting in rooms set aside for the doctor to show up some delay is expected. Was able to get comfortable & take a short nap.

After kiosk check in 10 mins before scheduled, was not called to desk to sign insurance form for 30 mins while wait room was slow. Your front desk folks seem to do everything except their job. Has been like this for the 5 years I have been coming here. This crab gets old!

My insurance pays for my annual eye exam. They refused to actually bill the insurance for the eye exam part, leaving a balance. I spoke with my insurance and they stated if they’d bill for the exam it would be paid. I informed the billing department this and they still wouldn’t bill them. I went in for a medically required appointment and was told that the notes in their system states I said I’d pay the balance, which was never stated. I was then informed either I pay the amount or I would not be seen. I paid it because the appointment was medically necessary. I requested a print out showing the balance was for the actual eye exam so I could at least submit it for reimbursement. But was told they could not do that. I had even shown them the comparison if the EOB they provided vs the EOB from my insurance and it clearly shows they only billed for the doctor part of that visit. If I had known, in advanced, they would not bill for the eye exam part and d have to pay for it I’d have gone to where I normally got my eye exams. (Which, btw, bills and gets paid 100% for the eye exam). $50 may not seem like much to them but when you live on a very limited budget that amount means less food to put in the table this month. Regardless of how much I may like the providers there I will definitely find a different practice from now on.

Dr. Cassen and all the staff were excellent and kind. They were very knowledgeable. The only problem I had was with the purchase of glasses at that department. Even with insurance it was very expensive. I was not given a breakdown of the cost including the tax, which seemed outrageous. I think I should have gone to another place to purchase the glasses, etc.

The customer service in this place is unbelievable. From the nurses to the doctor! Everyone was extremely polite, efficient and helpful. The doctor was so kind and made my nervous baby feel soooooo much better. I can honestly say this is the best experience ive had with doctors in a long time.

The staff was very courteous and nice. Been a while since I've been somewhere and I was treated no nicely. The Doc was really informative and was also nice and professional. Great experience.

If I could rate in the negative I would. This is the third time I have been at my mom's eye doctor in two months and to watch the front counter lady be rude and disrespectful to seniors is disgusting. I have never been to a doctor's office who doesn't great you when you walk in. This lady walks away and if she is on the phone she is absolutely rude to whoever she is talking to. I get it you have computers for the patients to scan their id and insurance cards into, so why pay an employee to be rude to your patients. She will go out of her way to walk away from the counter and act like she is busy or ask a question from a colleague than to help a patient. Sorry I don't know her name because she doesn't wear a name badge all I can say is she wears her hair in braids. Also, Elizabeth is argumentative when you go to schedule appointments. Maybe that day she was having a bad day but again you are working with seniors, either be more patient or find other work! I will leave this complaint on a positive note. Thank you Dr. Theodosis for taking such great care of my mother!!

Spent about 2 hours here. Saw 1 technician for 5-10 minutes. She gave ma very basic eye test. After that, I waited about another hour to get a new appointment. Left without any more contact from staff. Not sure I'll go back. Gotta check insurance for another provider.

I have always had a good experience at Shepherd Eye Center. My only comment is that it takes up to 2 hours to go through the process of checking in, screening, eye pressure, and finally seeing the doctor. I try to book one of the first appointments in the morning so I do not have to wait as long. People there have been very nice and the doctors there were able to diagnose a rare condition in my husband's eye. Overall, a great place.

Easy access. Plentiful parking. Preregistration speeds up check in via kiosk. Less than 5 minutes wait time. Efficient & quite thorough. Everyone very cordial. Despite a nearly full office, I was out in an hour.

Care is decent but even WITH an appt time, i ended up waiting for an hour past my appt time. This has happened twice now. And it was not that busy in the waiting area. Dr Theodosis is knowledgeable and i am comfortable with him. I hope they can clear up my foggy eyes.

this was my first time there, the location was great, front desk being very helpful, then going to each portion of the exams, everyone was professional and diligent. then upon meeting Dr Johnson, she was extremely helpful explaining everything to me as this was all new, things to look out for, options and such! I appreciated my visit. highly recommend them for your next Eyes exams!! ask to be seen by Dr Johnson.

Appointment with Shepherd Ey Center was for an annual eye examination. Both the online appointment and pre-appointment confirmation processes were easily accomplished on their website. The exam process was efficient and professionally accomplished. I will continue to use their fine services.

I have a family history of both glaucoma and cataracts, naturally I want to avoid both. For the last five years, Shepherd has been my defense. I could not be more pleased with the quality of care I received. I offer my highest recommendation.

The staff is great! The office flows well from department to department. Dr Ballard is wonderful. The only thing that was hard is that my glasses cost was very high. Over $700. I didn't get to try out the lens to see if they were ok after the the final lens adjustments. Now I'm concerned that I paid so much and not sure if the prescription turned out good.

The staff here are courteous and professional. The eye exam process has been streamlined to be very efficient. The only downside is that it's a popular office and tends to get crowded.

Went to Shepherd Eye yesterday. I had a 1:15 appointment, for which I arrived about 15-20 minutes early. The new kiosk check in was quite efficient and easy to navigate. I was pleasantly surprised with the short wait to see the doctor. I saw Dr. Joyce Cassen. She was wonderful, very patient and listened to my concerns. Highly recommend.

Carolyn Cruvant has been my doctor for over 30 years…before she even went with Shepard. But the young doctor I had was courteous and answered all my questions and made sure I Understood the plan going forward regarding cataracts. All the staff was good. However..I was a little uncomfortable having my medical history overheard by other patients when the tech was initially gathering health info from me with the sliding door open. Besides that…Overall experience was AAA! Thanks!

The check-in process was very efficient and the waiting period seemed to have been shortened. My appt was at 0950am and I was out of there by 11am. My previous doctor, Dr. Hansen has retired and I'm happy to say that my new doctor , Dr. B. Lee was as nice and interactive as Dr. Hansen. His asst was also nice. Most of the eye techs I met were also very nice and courteous. I have been a patient at Shepherd Eye for at least 15 yrs and I will continue to do so. Heloise E.

The appointment went well for the most part. The people who did hands on care were good. Dr Johnson was friendly. Her assistant was nice. The young lady- I believe her name was Michelle or Mellissa- who ask many questions and put in eyedrops was excellent.

A very easy and efficient visit! The young lady that works the front desk is the best in town! She’s always patient, kind, friendly, and most importantly, helpful and explains exactly what you will have done and what the charges are for. The actor listens to your issue and takes the time to explain options for treatment.

After deciding I wanted eye surgery, my search began asking my friends and acquaintances for their recommendations. Shepard Eye Center was highly recommended with people saying that it was the only place to go for excellent service. I couldn’t agree more! I was made to feel that my eyes were their top priority.
