I had a combination of optometry and opthamolgy service appointments. They have added a couple new automated machines that sped up the exam process. I was out in 70 minutes. Both Dr. Joshi and Dr. Ma are very sociable and knowledgeable. I have great confidence in their skills

The service was excellent. The urgent care I went to didn’t have the facilities to take care of my problem. They called the South Bay Eye Institute and got me a sane day appointment. The staff was courteous and the doctor was knowledgeable.i felt my issue would be resolved.

Great doctors - Joshi and Ma are awesome. But scheduling and patient service from support staff could improve. Disappointed. Scheduling mistake made in 2 of my last 3 annual visits cost me time - and this year I needed to come back. Check, double check and triple check appointments.

Dr. Joshi is wonderful, but I in the office for over an hour and a half, and most of it was consumed by just sitting and waiting. Adjustments need to be made in how many patients are scheduled in a given time period.

South Bay Eye Institute has been our ophthalmologists for the last 25 years. Dr. Joshi and staff are professional and very accommodating. Sure there are times that the wait is long- more than 30 minutes but the which medical office doesn’t have wait times. Thank you Dr. Joshi and staff!

The front office people are professional, accommodating, and very helpful. Dr. Liu very competently and promptly dealt with an urgent eye issue. Although I have visited the office only once, I would definitely go back to Dr. Liu for all of my vision-related needs.

My experience yesterday with my eye appointment with Dr. Joshi was excellent. He covered any problem I was experiencing and was kind enough to notify my Primary Physician that I had completed my yearly exam. The staff are always thorough and friendly. Great visit once again.

I've been going to South Bay Eye Institute for many years. I first started seeing Dr. August, and now I see Dr. Joshi who did my cataracts years ago. I will never change as I love the staff- doctors -front desk help and I get the BEST care. I was just in yesterday. Sandy in the Optical Dept is wonderful and very helpful. Great experience. Dr. Aarchan was fantastic. Explained all my options and asked me which one I wanted and when I asked him what he thought was best he chose for me. Everything went smoothly and I'm feeling better already.

I arrived for my 8am appt. Waited (2.5 min.) Assistant checked my vision and dilated my eyes. (10 min.) I waited to see the doctor ( 60 min.) I met with the doctor (15 min.) checked out (2.5 min.) The left at 9:30am. This not the first time this has happened. I've heard the same or worse from other patients. There's got to be a better way to run an office than making your patients wait an hour for their appointment. Thanks for listening.

I had a fabulous experience in this office yesterday. Everyone was so nice, and fun. This was my first time to see Dr. Joshi, I found him to be a delight and very thorough. Being my first time, I was there for a while, so you might want to ask when you make your appointment. Overall, I was very pleased with the staff and with the Dr.’s.

The ladies at the front desk here are very rude. This office will charge you for a no show when you forget. They promised me they would send me a reminder and never did. Then they charged me a $25 fee which I think is unethical for a medical office. The woman in charge at the front desk told me very rudely…that I could pay or leave. Of course I left and I would never go back there! They also charged me money for a mask last year! Again, a lady at the front was very rude to me then. Obviously, they are either desperate for money or just very greedy. It’s too bad because I thought the doctor,Dr Liu was fairly good. Shame on Providence! I think they are part of Providence health care.

The appointment was thorough.staff very professional. Dr Joshi took time to explain everything to me so I understood. Very positive experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. August’s for decades, and think he is a most caring and knowledgeable doctor (Five stars definitely). But the long wait times and cold office temperature are trying. If you tend to feel cold more than other people, bring a ski jacket.
