I am very confused. I called this company twice. Once last year and again back in August of this year. I inquired about if they accepted my type of insurance. They told me YES...now again this was in August of 2023 (this year). OKay. So I called back this morning to finally make an appointment. Now they are saying, they don't accept my insurance. When I asked what month this change occurred, they told me they haven't accepted insurance since 2021. So why did someone lie and tell me they did accept insurance less than 2 month ago? Like which one is it?

Every time I visit Southern Eye Specialist, I feel as if I have attended a mini-conference complete with entertainment. Dr. Sharma is so knowledgeble about the science behind his work and the lastest technological advances. He and his entire staff are professional, friendly, and patient - all skills required when I have to pick out new frames and today, we scored!!! This statement above was my review prior to Dr. Sharma"s office refusal to provide me my pupil distance (PD) so that I could buy affordable prescription glasses for my budget. I don't want to spend $700 for a single pair of glasses. So, his profit margin is more important than my vision. I would not give one star if this was an option.

I received GREAT comprehensive care at Southern Eye Specialists! Being referred through my insurance provider, I was extremely impressed with the high quality of customer service, professionalism, and knowledge that was displayed throughout my experience: from making my appointment with their team to the actual eye exam at the office. With this being my first visit, I walked in under the circumstances where the office was short-staffed due to a couple unforeseen events, however Dr. Rohit Sharma—who was running point on his own—immediately acknowledged me, briefed me on the situation, and assured I would be serviced as soon as possible, which was comforting out the gate. The exam was thorough, where Dr. Sharma was really helpful in providing key insights about my eye health, as well as the options available in lens products to ensure optimal care moving forward. Even with my insurance coverage, he clearly explained every component on the billing, and was patient throughout the whole process. I was able to observe him give the same quality care with other patrons as well, which shows that he’s truly passionate about his practice and community. I haven’t experienced this type of excellence with any of my past optometrists, so I’m confident when I say that I have officially found a home with Southern Eye Specialists, P.C. I strongly recommend them for any of your eye health needs.
