Very clear communication, professional and friendly treatment. I felt I had all the care I needed. I was informed well ahead of time that my appointment would be a long one, and all through, I was treated courteously and professionally. Dr. Barneby was incredibly nice, professional and helped me understand my condition very clearly.

I have had excellent eye care over about 20 years from Dr Barnebey and his staff, including cataract surgery for my mother. It’s the unexpectedly negative reviews that prompted me to write now. This clinic truly lives up to the “care” in their name. I’ve consistently found the staff meticulous, systematic and focused. Their no-nonsense efficiency is matched with attention, respect and responsiveness, with rare and insignificant lapses. I should know because I’m the kind of patient who asks many questions and likes to understand and consider alternatives. Occasionally, I did experience long wait times mentioned in other reviews, but in those cases, I ask the front desk about the reason and how many other patients are ahead, then act accordingly. Meticulous care can mean a patient can require more time than expected. As we say in my own profession “quality over schedule”. That said, I’ve also noticed that timeliness has improved in recent years.

I do not understand the negative reviews! I have had a positive experience, do far. Everyone in the office to the OR is professional, friendly, and Dr Barnebey is all business, the way it should be, answers questions, fills in when techs are backed up; not many docs would step in to help patience when the staff is busy! I cannot comment on the eyesight, yet, because I am only a few weeks out from surgery, but I am hopeful. I got the PanOptix too.
