My first eye surgery went OK. I wasn't called till the night before at 4 pm to discuss charges etc. By then it was too late to discuss with my doctor. The second visit I was never called. Then the day of the procedure the nurse and I had an issue regarding my IV. I ended up leaving without have my cataract surgery. The manager never called to follow up on what happened. This is not how you treat your patients

I would first want to say my cataract surgery was successful. The staff after check in i.e…nurses, assistants and doctors were outstanding. The process to get there was a challenge. The biggest issue was the amount due at the time of surgery. I might suggest if you have time, check with your medical insurance to confirm whether deductibles etc are met. The estimates provided are best case scenario. I came out of pocket more than anticipated. Second you can check with other surgical centers to see if their prices are competitive. Dr. Achal Patel and staff members especially Tina a Phoenician Eye specialists were great to work with and I would recommend their services to my friends. Good luck if you are moving forward with cataract surgery I have no regrets.

The surgery was delayed for 3 hours for the whole waiting room full of people. You can't eat before you go and so my mom was feeling faint before they got to her. The MA violated HIPPA by asking my mom all kinds of personal questions in the lobby full of people.

I had a great experience coming here for surgery and had to review to let others know that wait times for surgery centers can vary with factors such as emergency surgeries and complications. The check in was no problem despite being quite busy. The nurse who took me to pre-op was very nice and caring to me and the other patients around me. Post-op was quick and safe. Hopefully this is my last eye surgery but should I have to have another I wouldn't hesitate to come to Spectra

My experience here is similar to those who have visited in the past. I brought my mom in for her appointment at 7am. We arrived at 6:45 AM and checked in, only to notice that there were already over 20 people waiting in their office. I checked the sign-in sheet and saw that they had over five people scheduled for each 15 minute block. They have very few doctors and over book appointments causing extremely long waits.
We waited for over 3 hours till my mother was called back to be seen for an appointment that she had scheduled 2 weeks in advance. My mother had been fasting since 7pm the night before with no food or liquids, including water. When asked how much longer the wait would be the front desk simply said “well call you when it’s your turn”.
I suggest steering clear of this place unless you’re ok with a very long wait and seemingly uncaring staff.

Worst services ever! My mom's appointment was at eleven and we waited 4 hours! Never coming here again! Cold as hell waiting area that is mostly filled with the elderly, who were freezing!

I don't know what all these bad reviews are about because I had an amazing experience. I got right in, the staff was great. My nurses were amazing and the nurse which did my IV did it on the first try. I don't even have a bruise. I was running late but was in and out faster than I expected. I would definitely recommend them. I think to many times only people with bad experiences leave reviews and not ones with good experiences. Remember that.

Apparently sitting and waiting for 2.5 because of overbooking and short staff is normal. This is crazy.

Although the staff is kind. This is the second time we have been here and the wait time is outrageous. Last time it was 3 hours. We are pushing that now. Extremely disrespectful to the patient and family

Front desk staff were friendly. Had to wait over an hour after check in. The assistant who took me back was very unfriendly, never introduced herself, told me to sit on bed, put BP cuff on, put in IV and left. I finally flagged someone down cause I was freezing and needed a pillow under my knees due to bad back. Don’t remember post op. Someone was trying to read instructions while I was still waking up. Was so nauseous because anesthesiologist refused to give me something for nausea. I was miserable for 48 hours after. I always get nauseous even with light sedation and informed him but he refused. Love Dr Patel but surgery center not so e.

Arrived 10.45am, checked in by 11.15 good strart
Student nurse checked me in asking all the questions I just filled out when I arrived, no eye contact. Student nurse tried to put in the IV, blew the vien, the teaching nurse put in the IV. DID NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT FOR 3 HOURS. Back was screaming, couldn't get out of bed, no nurse support.
Finally Anastiliogist arrived to knock me out, good guy.
Woke up in Lazer room. Lazer or lazer tech could not get the lazer to vacuum lock. Third time it actually worked, final tech said it had to be done in a specfic sequence. During the Lazer wait for the tech and doctor (20 minutes, a student (valley girl on Speed pills) would not shut up about her life. Nothing to do with the procedure, all words were (Like, Really, Amazing, just like, Um, every other word that made no sense). Very unprofessional.
Finally relased to my ride home at 445pm 5 &1/2 hours later. Nursing manager and location director need to be replaced or set a new tone of profesionalism that does not exist in this facility.

Terrible front desk. They make you wait for hours longer than you should.
