Unprofessional is a single word I'd use to describe this practice. I've been seeing Dr. John for just shy of a year now for my eye disease. I have to go fairly often to ensure my eye isn't worsening. Today was one of those days where I have a comprehensive review. I arrived early for my 10AM appointment. I paid my copay and they said they'd get me back to Dr. John shortly. 5 minutes passed and I did a vision test and then an eye pressure test. After that, they sent me to the eternal waiting room and kept all of the patients in the dark about the awful reality happening behind the scenes. This practice is supposed to have multiple doctors and you will usually see the same doctor because they know you and your condition(s). Well today transparency went out the window and I waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes in the second waiting area for them to never call my name. I asked at 11:20AM when I'd be seen and they told me I was still 5 patients behind (10AM appointment). I went to the front desk to reschedule and then they informed me that their practice with MULTIPLE doctors only had one in today (not even the doctor I was scheduled to see). During the check-in and all of that they never once mentioned this. So I paid my copay to see a different doctor and not a single time did they tell me mention a potential delay or that my doctor was out of the office. They didn't call me or anything either to try and reschedule. Instead they had one doctor seeing EVERY SINGLE PATIENT for the doctors that were out. I ended up going to the front desk and asking for a refund/reschedule, but honestly after this experience and the way the staff didn't inform anyone waiting about their doctor being out is beyond unprofessional and I am looking for a new doctor. If you had called me or told me when I arrived, I would have rescheduled, but you didn't even have the decency to tell me that the only doctor I've seen at this practice was out. Truly disappointed to have had such a bad experience. I can say that another patient had an appointment at 9AM and was leaving as I was getting in the elevator and also complained about how bad his wait was.

Best eye service care in the Tampa Bay Area! I have seen each physician and each time my visits have been nothing short of excellent! If you are in need of eye surgery, look no further. These doctors have changed my life and I couldn’t be more thankful for them! Thank you Dr. Michaelos’ for giving me too notch care and treating me like family.

This was the absolute worst experience at any Dr office I have ever had!!! I had a 1040 appointment. I showed up at 1030. I had both of my children with me. The technician was lovely and saw me within a reasonable wait time. I was then asked to have a seat to wait for the Dr. I sat out in the main lobby with my kids as there wasn’t much seating in the Dr wait area. I sat there until 1230 and asked when I would be called and they said I was up next. I waited again until 1250 and asked again when I would be called and they took me back. I sat w my kids in the room for exactly 20 minutes bc I am sure at this point the Dr took his lunch break and I was forgotten!! I left at 110 and no one even paid attention to me walking out!!!! This was clearly too many people to be seen. Either the Dr didn’t care for me or my time, or the office over booked for am appointments, but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I did receive a phone call at 118, now the Dr is ready!! No thank you!! I’ve been very patient!!
