St. Petersburg Eye Care Specialists is a family-owned optometry practice with two locations in the St. Petersburg area. It provides annual eye exams for patients age 5 and up, contact lens fittings including monovision, multifocal, toric and rigid gas permeable lenses, and medical office visits for red eye, conjunctivitis, foreign body removal, dry eye and eye abrasions.

Dr. Tara Koza Camargo earned her doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. Dr. Furman earned his Doctorate of Optometry in 2014 from the Illinois College of Optometry and specializes in primary eye care and contact lenses. The Camargos took over the practice in 2015 and expanded to a Tyrone location.

SPECS is just the best place! Family owned and operated with great staff. I had ordered my next 90 days of contacts and during the short time it took for them to arrive I found out I have cataracts and need to have lens replacements. Needless to say, I would no longer need the contacts I had just ordered. As usual, their customer service was outstanding! Since I hadn't picked up my contacts yet, they graciously agreed to return them to the manufacturer so I wouldn't incur a charge. They also helped me out with some trials to get me to my surgery date in a couple of weeks. An awesome experience and I definitely recommend them for all of your eye care needs.

I had several experiences-w- other vision companies that were not even close to the experience I had @ SPEC!! Wow! I had an experience in 2000 that was amazing in that they helped me pick out frames that accented my face etc. & I thought it would never be duplicated. Not only did they duplicate--THEY EXCEEDED!! Exam Frame Selection Prices Customer Service Speed Energy.. To the entire Team.. ☆☆VERY WELL DONE☆☆

If you’re in StPe, I Very Highly recommend that you check them out; A family owned, small business with extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff who really take the time to make sure you receive the best quality care and service 🥰 Clean office, quick & attentive service, and some honestly caring people.
