The initial visit was great. The doctor was fantastic. I have been waiting 2 months for my son's glasses to be ready. I've called over 20 times and left at least 4 messages. Nobody in the office ever calls back or communicates with me. I would love to know how much longer my 7 year old is expected to walk around unable to see. I'm extremely frustrated with the unreliability of the office staff. All I have expected is a prompt response and reasonable explanation for the delays.

I have been waiting more than six months for my contacts, like many other reviewers. I've spent hundreds of dollars and have nothing to show for it. I've been told several times that it's a supply chain issue, but I don't understand how that can be true. Every other retailer I've researched has had no trouble supplying the same products. This location never seems to have enough staff, so one employee has to juggle several customers at a time, making wait times longer than necessary. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be using standard optical again.

UPDATE: I ordered from 1-800-CONTACTS and got my prescription in three days…. So….. standard optical what’s your problem. The staff here is nice but I really wish I had ordered from somewhere else. 1-800-contacts maybe? I went in to refill my contact prescription in November and STILL nothing. Almost 6 months later, no updates. I am OUT of contacts and have been for awhile and having to keep going back to get a temporary set is really not what I want to do every month for six months. Every time one rips or gets lost I’m SOL and have to be blind until I’m able to go back to the store to get another temporary. I will never be coming back to Standard Optical and, reader, you should stay far far away from here.
