My glasses broke on a Friday. And I needed something fast. Saturday morning I was able to book an appointment with Stanton Optical for the afternoon. It was a little odd that it was a hybrid appointment where the doctor was on a screen but honestly it worked and I had no problems. Bryan was helpful, patient and kind. I will absolutely be coming back. This place made it so fast and easy to get glasses.

I visited Stanton Optical on Main Street in Norman, attracted by their advertised $79 glasses and eye exam deal. Upon entering, I filled out information on a tablet and underwent standard eye tests with someone who seemed like an optometrist. However, the actual eye exam cost $109, and I paid upfront before learning about the digital doctor concept. In a room with a screen, a webcam-connected individual from Florida controlled the lens-switching machine. Communication was challenging due to a headset, and I never met a local eye doctor. Following the exam, I selected glasses advertised as buy one get one free. The next stage involved a salesperson pushing additional add-ons like clarity and transitional lenses. Despite applying discounts to the supposed buy one get one free offer, the final cost for two pairs of glasses exceeded $900. Feeling uncomfortable and questioning the legitimacy of the process, I requested a refund for the eye exam, only to be denied. In retrospect, Stanton Optical left me with an odd and unimpressive impression. The lack of transparency and the upfront payment for an unconventional digital doctor make me skeptical. I would caution others to seek out a traditional optometrist for a more trustworthy eye care experience.

A great place to go for glasses and an eye exam on a budget. Having the optometrist do your exam remotely is a little weird but it worked out fine. They have a decent selection of glasses. Becca helped me and she was very nice and understanding and really worked with my budget to get me the best possible pairs of glasses she could.
