The staff is exceptional! Mackenzie was very friendly, polite and insightful when helping me select my frames. She helped understand my benefits so I could get the best deal. Bethany was very efficient in her screening my eyes prior to me sitting down with the doctor. Dr. Chen was so kind and detailed in her exam! She thoroughly answered all questions I had about the slight changes in my prescription and she took the time to explain how some of my health conditions can affect my eyesight and what signs to look for. I had a great experience with Dr. Barron last week. The appointment started exactly on time. The staff was friendly and helpful. It had been 3 years since my last appointment and Dr. Barron took lots of time to answer my questions not only about the glasses prescription that I was there for, but also for potentially trying contacts again in the future. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Barron and the staff at the Edgewood Target Optical for their professionalism and patient care.

My review is only for one specific location on one specific day. Target is a Big Box store where turnover is a challenge. I assume that locations and even staff will vary wildly. Needing reading glasses is new for me, so I don't have much experience with pricing. Plus, insurance plans complicate comparisons. And of course, the experience at a Target Optical likely boils down to the individual employee working that location that day. When I went to my local Target (Edgewood in Atlanta), I was fortunate to have been helped by Mackenzie. She was very knowledgeable about my insurance plans (what it covered, what it didn't), she knew the layout of the store (products and price ranges), and she went out of her way to find additional frames in my price range. My experience utterly exceeded my expectations.
