Where to start, when I arrived and was called back for my exam, the technician couldn’t give clear concise instructions, I couldn’t understand her. I was shocked to learn that the eye pressure tests no longer required numbing drops, I also learned that the eye motion tests was not set up correctly by the tech as instructed in the notes give by the doctor. The test was supposed to be for me to follow the light clockwise, the tech explained to me “focus on the light” when I asked which one, she just repeated “focus on the light”. I overheard her speaking with a different tech in the hallway she was told “put in her notes, patient has difficulty with the test.” After speaking with the doctor, it turns out after talking with the doctor, she didn’t load the correct tests. Afterwards, while waiting to order my contacts, the lady was being extremely short with a younger girl who was trying contacts for the first time and couldn’t get one out, and asked me “whatchu want” which I felt was very unprofessional in a medical setting. After requesting a 6 month supply, I asked if I could get sample contacts until my new ones are delivered, without checking she just replied “we ain’t got em in your script”. While driving home, I received a text from the lady who orders contacts because she didn’t verify my address. Other than Dr. Woodruff being the amazing person as always, the rest of the staff was completely incompetent, needless to say, I’m finding a new place for my eye care and I suggest others do the same if this is the treatment that patients can receive.

I have been going to Visionworks for years. The last several times I’ve had issues. My sister recommended The Eye Care Institute. They were friendly and extremely thorough. Can’t say enough about how great my experience was. This will be where I go going forward.

From the time I walked in every staff member was courteous and professional. I really liked Dr Woodruff; I have dry disease and she took the time to explain treatment options and answered my questions. She even connected me with a specialty pharmacy to help defray the cost of the prescription eye drops. I’m so glad I found this practice!

First visit with Dr. Pattar... great experience with him & his team! Appreciate. Was for 7:50am, I was there 10 minutes early, but wasn't taken back till after 8am & didn't see the Dr. Till after 8:30am but testing, exams & recommendation were GREAT!

Overall the visit went very well in regards to efficiency and pleasant employees. The one big frustration is registration. I pre-registered then registered again at the kiosk and they still needed to know information. The medications should be included in the pre-registration.

The Eye Care Institute is great! They are very efficient and friendly. Dr. Meier was able to repair a cornea issue for me which restored my vision and has made a huge positive impact on my day to day life. Highly recommend!

Dr. McEntire was absolutely amazing! She was so patient with both of my kids and made an appointment that I had been dreading, go so smooth. We left feeling really confident in her care. Highly recommend!!

I have been a satisfied patient of Dr. Meyer since 2017. He and his staff are very personable and caring. I recommend him to all my friends.

First I called to change my visit time; luckily for me they had a later time at 1:30pm. I arrived early and these two sweet clerks checked me in and reminded me of my appointment time. I told them I understood. So I looked at information pamphlets while i waited. Then clerk came tested my eyes and went to another area fir another test, then I seen doctor who was very pleasant. Whole visit was very professional

I recently started my eye care with The Eye Care Institute and I was very impressed with the entire team. Everyone was so kind, personable and professional. The entire service was efficient and they seem to take great pride and give extra attention to the level of care and service they provide to patients. The communication was top notch and I was told exactly what would be happening during my examination as it progressed. I met with Dr. McIntire who was thoughtful and thorough. She explained everything in detail and was delightful to meet. I could not have had a better experience and will be seeing her for my eye care journey going forward. The staff worked me in within 24 hours for an acute lesion on the sclera. The visit was very pleasant, professional, and it addressed my problem. The Doctor even went the extra mile and printed off a coupon to use for the expensive eye drops.

I requested an eye exam, other tests were done therefore they billed it medically instead of with my vision coverage, at checkout I had to pay my copay, had they billed vision there wouldn't have been a copay. The young lady who checked me out was cold, never once looked me in the eye, when I questioned my copay she quickly answered again without any eye to eye contact and then I felt dismissed. Without looking at my vision benefit, the person fitting me for glasses charged my card, then I received a voice mail explaning that she credited my card due yo my plan changed. She should have kniwn that ip front. I would not recommend them.

The exam was very thorough and the people were excellent and professional. However the young "man" who I saw to get new glasses was not. His appearance was very unprofessional rainbow strands of hair and a sleevless rainbow teeshirt. His attitude was dismissive when I did not want new frames. He handed be my prescription and didn't say another word. I left and will not go back because of him. Its unfortunate bcuz I have been a patient for 10 years.

Highly recommend Dr. Patar and Dr. Yunker. They saved my sight when I had detached retinas. I experienced what blindness is like. They brought me back to 20/20. Cataract surgery was painless and made my vision like seeing HD TV for the first time. Thank you so very much! 5 Stars.

I've gone to the eye doctor many times in my life, This was my first time here and it's never been as smooth and painless before All the women that took care of me were very nice and informative. They informed me of things I didn't know to ask. You could see the intense focus in their demeanor during examinations. That's what you want. 10/10

I would give them 10 ⭐️ if I could. Every staff member and doctor that I have met have been very caring and compassionate people. I have a cornea disease and any time I have had an issue, needed a new graft, need a concern addressed they have bent over backwards to help. And Dr. Meyer is the best.

Dr. Meyer is just the best! Actually interested in examination & sharing info I need to keep my vision on track. Makes me feel comfortable. Pre exam tech was also very good.

The entire staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Pattar took the time to explain everything to me and answer any questions. I’ve had several relatives go here as well and their experiences mirrored mine. Highly recommend.

I had worn glasses since I was three years old.Dr Pattar took on the challenge of finding a lens that eliminated my need for glasses while doing my cataract surgery. Other well known doctors in Louisville said there was no way of eliminating my need for glasses or contacts. I now am free from contacts! Dr Pattar is the best!

The check-in was initially difficult for me. Plus I had to reschedule to come back. Second time checked in, great. The young lady that took me back who did the pre-evaluation also going over my medications and then giving me my initial eye test was very professional and polite. I just had a very difficult time understanding her and sometimes she had a hard time understanding me. Her English was not very clear and made it difficult at times. The doctor was excellent helpful cleared some misunderstandings up very professional and kind. All in all my experience was good. Thank you

Everyone was so nice and efficient. And Dr. Meyer was not only pleasant and down-to-earth, but he was extremely informative. I feel like I am very well taken care of.

So, I’ve generally not been impressed with many eye doctors offices. Generally feels like a glasses selling factory more than taking care of your eyes. They were professional and efficient, but with some personal touch to it. I wish I remembered the girl who did the initial screening bit for me because she did a great job and was super personable. The doctor actually took sometime to talk through whats going on with my eyes. And what there is to do about it and when to worry. Of course I did buy glasses but they made that experience easy and gave me my prescription before even going down that road so I could’ve gone else where. I didn’t even have to ask for it. Overall great experience.

Dr. Pataar and staff are always very efficient and courteous. Everyone is friendly, and they take the time to explain issues and answer questions. I always have great confidence in their abilities, and highly recommend.

I've been coming here for several years and every visit is more unfriendly. It feels like you're less a person and more a thing to be processed. Staff are fighting to upsell you at every turn; I had to decline a new elective experimental process no less than three times this visit. I do have to state that my actual optometrist and contact lens technician are both lovely, knowledgeable, and helpful, but the rest of the visit is so unpleasant that I do not think I will be back next year. If something was actually awry with my eyes I would be very stressed to have The Eye Care Institute handle it.

I was called back promptly, the eye technician explained everything clearly and answered my questions thoroughly and kindly. I opted for the eye scan vs dilation which was an extra $40 but was worth it to me. Very convenient option. Dr Eblehar was very thorough and helpful and answered all my questions. The associate who assisted me with purchasing glasses was very helpful and knowledgeable and kind. Not pushy or hard sales pitch at all

Dr. Woodruff has been my eye care professional for about 15+ years. She was pregnant with at least two of her children, and they are now in college! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The facility is always clean. Procedures are explained and all questions are answered. If a question is asked, they have no problem saying they don't know and will research to give me the best information possible. Especially when it's about Lasik and contacts. Great staff and facility! I had a great conversation while waiting with another patient. She was a very young woman age 92 years! Sharing with me that many years ago, she attended a church conference, and was told that by the year 2000 everything would be handled via computer. That information was right on point. Although this person was able to register via computer, many others don't have that knowledge. Fortunately, the Eye Institute staff always were available to help those without computer knowledge.

I always have a good experience when I come to The Eye Care Institute. The facilities is always nice and clean and I feel that I am in a safe environment especially appreciate my doctor Dr.Hayley Woodruff. She’s one of a kind thank you for serving my husband and I all these many years. Have a good year.

Amber was the star of the day! She was very helpful and you can tell that she really enjoys her job. Dr. Woodruff was also a pleasure to work with as well.

My comments are limited to the thorough, thoughtful, patient, respectful and excellent attention that I received at my very first visit to the Institute. They include significant interaction, beginning with the reception, technician, doctor and administration throughout my visit. Thinking back, I quickly became comfortable. My husband and I have been coming here for a long time. Love our Dr. And the service. They give, just wish they had a office somewhere around baptist health area on kresge way closer to our home.
