My eye exam with Dr. Sacksteder was a breeze. He was very thorough and took time to explain everything. The office was clean and professional from arrival to departure. They even sent me a “good faith estimate” prior to my appointment. Great location. Great provider.

Great on the first visit and terrible afterwards. Dr. Desai is great and scheduled me for corneal crosslinking. Dr. Hummel did the surgery and both follow ups I've waited 35+ minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Hummel is in the room for 3 minutes before he has to move to the next patient. The office is high throughput and they overbook patients for the staff they have to maximize profit. You're treated like a number here and not like a patient. My follow up appointments never had enough time to answer all the questions I had about my condition. I would avoid this office.

This review is for Dr. Hummel only. I have been a patient here for years and have seen many of the physicians who work at West Coast Eye. So my past experience has been good. My recent appointment was for a cataract consultation. As usual, I got to the appointment about 25-30 mins early. After checking in, I was told to sit in the waiting room. I went through all the usual checks with the techs. Then I waited, and waited and waited. After about 70 minutes, I had to leave. I have other appointments and could not spend my day waiting any longer. My time is important too. The place was not busy at all, I only saw 2 other patients in the place. I would not go back to West Coast Eye to see Dr. Hummel. A 30 minute wait is expected, 60 minutes is borderline ridiculous, over 60 minutes is unprofessional.
