Both my husband and I have gone to The Focal Point for several years. The appointments are always on time, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Hamilton always answers my questions and concerns and I never feel rushed. I also wear glasses and they have a good selection of frames. I had an issue with getting back new glasses from the lab last visit, but the staff kept on top of it and resolved the issues for me. We highly recommend them.

Very disappointed in the service. My wife and I both had an appointment scheduled this morning. I called several days ago to ask if my wife could get her expired contact prescription extended or if she could pick up contacts to get us through the weekend for our daughter's wedding (this Saturday). I was told that the only way The Focal Pointe would help us was to show up for the already scheduled appointment today. We showed up this morning. The office was CLOSED without notice due to the hurricane which came through yesterday. There is no damage. There is no bad weather. The office just decided to take the rest of the week off, I guess. There were a half a dozen other irritated clients in the parking lot for their scheduled appointments, too. I've tried calling the after hours number an left messages but no response nor reply there either. I realized that my wife having her contacts for the wedding this weekend is not important to The Focal Pointe but it was important to us. I would think customer service would be important for a place like this. We are very disappointed clients. Today's weather (the excuse for them being closed without notice) is partly sunny with a slight chance of rain. Typical beautiful day in Florida. Update: We also own a home in Wakulla County right next to the water. You are correct that it was a major storm. We boarded up and suffered some damage. We also own a business. We took the time to take care of our customers. We had days to prepare for this storm. Customer service only requires phone service (not power). We never lost phone service in this storm.
