My son had surgery with Dr M couple years ago. He is very happy with the result. No complications at all. We are really impressed with Dr Mazaheri’s knowledge and technique. When we went for our consultation, he sat down with us and explained every steps. Here we are couple years after, one of his happy costumers. Thanks Dr M

I spent a considerable amount of time looking at various places and narrowed it down to three: Tylock/George, Laser Care Eye Center, and The M Lasik Center. I had a consult at all three and my details are below. Tylock/George: I scheduled an appointment and was told the appointment takes about 2 hours. I arrived, completed the paperwork, and was told to wait in my car because of COVID/social distancing. I waited in my car for 55 minutes, 55 minutes past my appointment time. (Wondering what is the point in making an appointment if I wait that long...) I went to 3 machines with the tech for measurements. Then I was taken to "a patient waiting room" where 3 others were waiting. I had a different tech take me to get an eye exam done, then back to the waiting room. About 10 minutes after that I was taken to a consulting room here I waited to meet Dr. Tylock and had my eyes dilated. He verified my eye exam settings, checked my dilated eyes, and reviewed the Contura surgery. I mentioned I have dry eyes and when I asked him about it, he said most patients only notice that for the first few weeks after the surgery....dismissing my concern that I already have dry eye and I don't want it to get worse after the surgery. Then I was taken to a different room where you can schedule the surgery and talk about financing options. They do include a "lifetime guarantee" as long as you get your annual eye exam anywhere and you can fax it to them. Lasik eye consult charge is $175. All in all, the staff was nice but I had 3 different techs throughout my visit and I was told he does the surgery but a different eye doctor does your follow up care - which I didn't like. Total price for Contura Lasik was $3515. Laser Care Eye Center: This office is located in a hospital, so it was a little tricky to find. You wait at the door and ring the doorbell. My husband came with me and he was told he wasn't allowed to come in because of COVID restrictions, understandable. I completed all my testing in the lobby and was taken to a room where I had my eye exam. Then Dr. Gicheru came in and talked with me about the various procedures and recommended I come back a few days later due to my eyes being so dry (some of the tests showed dry eye and they didn't know which type of laser surgery would be best for me). He mentioned having Lasik done 20 years ago and having dry eyes afterwards so he offers a "dry eye therapy" for his patients which includes placing punctal plugs. I actually appreciated his recommendation with that because I already have dry eyes and he noticed it right away. That has been one major concern about getting Lasik and he put me at ease mentioning many people actually have that chronic problem and it is easily treatable. I went ahead and scheduled a follow up appointment for two days later after I aggressively use artificial tears for a few days to redo some of the testing to see which surgery would be best for me. He did mention I have pretty thin corneas but I was still a candidate for Lasik but needed to come back for additional testing to know which would be best. I liked that they didn't dilate my eyes that day and you have a separate appointment to do additional testing if you chose to go with them. The M Lasik Center: I arrived, filled out some paperwork, then they have you watch a video. Then you are taken to a room where Dr. M has his awards and patents on display. I had a few tests completed and then got to see Dr. M. I appreciated his technique being different and "no cut/flapless", especially since I have thin corneas and dry eyes already. He also mentions he takes all of the measurements himself and doesn't rely on techs and even double checks your eyes with tests the day of your surgery. I finished my consult with him and thought about the three places and ultimately decided to go with Dr. M due to his technology. He also offers punctal plugs for dry eyes. Lasik cost: $3450. Update: 3 months post-op w/ Dr. M and I have 20/15 vision! I’m incredibly happy with my results! Followed his post-op care, I highly recommend him!

Eleven years ago, I had the life-changing opportunity to undergo LASIK surgery performed by the incredibly skilled and dedicated surgeon at The M Lasik Eye Center. Even after more than a decade, I am still amazed by the exceptional results and the profound impact it has had on my life. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the entire staff. The environment was calming, and the attention to detail in maintaining a clean and comfortable facility was evident. The pre-surgery consultations were thorough, and all my questions and concerns were patiently addressed. When it came to the surgery itself, I felt completely at ease under the care of Dr. Michael Mazaheri. Their expertise and precision were evident throughout the entire process. The surgery was quick and virtually painless, and I was amazed by how quickly my vision improved post-surgery. What truly sets Dr. Mazaheri apart is their commitment to post-operative care. Even after the surgery was successfully completed, they ensured regular follow-up appointments to monitor my progress and ensure my eyes were healing as expected. This level of dedication and genuine concern for their patients' well-being truly made a lasting impression on me. Today, more than a decade later, I continue to enjoy perfect vision and a newfound sense of freedom from glasses and contacts. Thank you, Dr. Mazaheri, for the gift of clear vision and renewed confidence that has lasted me for over a decade. You are a true visionary in every sense of the word!
