Dr Summer is amazing! She literally helped me getting a better prescription and answered all my questions regarding my prescription and contact lenses. I hate going to the doctor but because her customer service skills I will be coming back every year.

I had a great experience at The Vision Standard. I had difficulties with a prescription and had a hard time getting in to see my regular optometrist. I searched around and found Dr.McGeever who had openings the same week. It was easy to schedule and complete my new patient forms online. The person at the front desk was very pleasant. The appointment started on time and the visit was excellent. Dr. McGeever listened to me and was very patient. Ultimately, I left happy with a new prescription in hand. I think because the practice is in LensCrafters it’s easy to miss. Definitely try them out if you’re looking for a good, thorough eye exam.

Doctor was friendly and helpful. The eye exam went smoothly. However, the check-in process was disorganized when there were a bit more patients, which lead to delay of 1 hour - frustrating and inconvenient experience. This can be much more alleviated if the office improves its check-in process.

I had a great experience with Dr. McGeever. Check-in was quick and staff was friendly. I appreciated how clearly the doctor explained each step and took time to answer any question I had. It made the whole appointment feel comfortable.

The actual optometrists are fine, but this place engages in a number of shady business practices. At check in, they hand you a bunch of forms among them, one of them being one authorizing a glaucoma exam. This is not a necessary procedure and is not recommended by most medical professionals unless you are older and haven’t done one in a long time, but it does cost extra money. But instead of asking me if I actually wanted it, they handed me this form after the first few and just asked me to sign it. I asked what it was, and they told me, without elaboration, that it was for a glaucoma check. After looking up a little more information online about it, I told them I didn’t want it, and they rolled their eyes at me and said that most people do it but okay I didn’t have to. It was rude and scammy and I obviously was never going back. Then I get an email just today saying “confirm your upcoming appointment”. So clearly they just auto-created an appointment without asking me. This place has some real nerve. I avoid this place, and so should you.

Dr. McGeever and team were fantastic. Very quick and easy process to complete my annual exam. Would highly recommend to anyone in the Boston area.
