Dr. Goolsbee is amazing! I truly felt cared for. He is not there just to pump out prescriptions and sell us glasses/contacts, but he actually cares about your eye health as well which is a really big deal to me. I took off a star because my husband and I both had appointments recently, different days of the week and times of day, but we both were left waiting for 30+ minutes inside the exam room. Speed of service is definitely a bummer, maybe they should spread appointments out a little more so their patients aren't left waiting for so long. I like them enough to return, but I will be planning ahead next time for the very unfortunately long wait times.

Would not recommend Dr. Goolsbee at all. He seemed really rushed and super bothered by having to do my eye exam. I had an appointment set up ahead of time. When I get there, I told him my main concerns, along with what doctors have told me in the past about my eyes. He wasn’t even going to prescribe me glasses, after insisting that I had astigmatism. He seemed bothered that I mentioned this, and he prescribed glasses that had no astigmatism correction at all anyways. His eye exam took less than 2 minutes after his assistants finished. Ordered my prescription that he sent, and it helped but vision was still blurry. Got a second opinion from a different doctor (Dr. Ford at his own practice I highly recommend) and wrote a stronger prescription that corrects my astigmatism. I am NEVER coming back to Tyler Eye Associates I was treated as if I was a third class passenger, even though I had first class insurance. What a waste, and shame on Dr. Goolsbee for not listening to his patient’s concerns, being dismissive about what his patients try to tell him. If you are thinking about an appointment with Dr. Goolsbee, use your insurance elsewhere, or it will be a wasted exam that isn’t correct prescriptions

This is easily the best eye care I have ever had. Not just Dr. Goolsbee, but the entire facility and staff! They have helped me out in a pinch on more then one occasion (best contact tech ever), and I always feel welcomed and comfortable when I’m in their office. Which is saying something, because eye doctor visits can be scary. I could not recommend this place enough!!
