Let's start with the optical shop - It's a joke! They changed staff around last winter (probably this year too) and it hasn't improved anything. There's a huge disconnect in the dept. logistics! Disorganized chaos! How can you sell eyewear protection plans but not have paper copies of the terms/conditions of that plan for patients to reference?? What sense does that make?? You shouldn't only hear about the plan details verbally, that's not a standard buisness practice and can easily confuse details that way. The same goes for any sales/deals happening. Have it physically advertised for people to see also!
One of the female optical staff, Tajah, seems to always have a condescending tone and provocative attitude when talking as if she has a problem! She'll say one thing and then say another thing later looking as if she said the same exact thing from the beginning, creating confusion. It's ridiculous! It's like you have to argue with her! She spends more time talking to people as if they are her children than actually listening! You have to cut her off and tell her where she's wrong and don't allow her speak to you in any manner other than professional! She can keep the extra attitude at home!
The staff before was much more customer service oriented.
******************************************************************
Next, the front desk clinic staff. Some of them have become very comfortable with their jobs, disrespecting people and playing around! I thought this was a place of business, not a playground!
There's a short, brown, very heavy set female that sits to the left at the front desk somtimes and she has a very nasty attitude with her mouth for that job!
Stan/stanely or whatever his name is the older male with long grey/black dreads working the check out area, directly behind the front desk. He has a hostile attitude and behavioral issues with certain people, thinking he's head honcho in the practice and can tell ADULT PATIENTS what they can/cannot do - like he's in control of someone. He is not in charge of anything anywhere in any healthcare system. He's not even a techinician! DO YOUR JOB AND SCHEDULE! QUIT PLAYING AROUND WITH GROWN FOLKS! GO HOME! SIMPLE!! Don't know why he thinks he's above his job, but people are not toys! Playing around with people, especially at your job, is never a smart thing to do. People have various medical issues coming into the practice, seeking professional care!
******************************************************************
There's so much negative attitude from staff that aren't even capable of providng BASIC customer service nor medical services. Who are these people?? Surely not professionals! I don't care how long they've worked there! Trust me, the level of professionlism changes depending on who the staff are talking to, like physicians/nurses and other administrative staff that work for other departments in hospital/outpatient buildings.
Why isn't managment or patient relations info displayed in the clinic anyway??? This place needs a facelift! No one is going to continue dealing with this!
******************************************************************
Do yourself a favor and go to Lens Crafters ,Vision work, Target optical et or another reputable business, atleast you get your monies worth for eyewear! Had it not been for some of the advanced professional medical providers like Dr. Friedman and ODs like Dr. Goode themselves, I woudn't be coming here from out of state. No one has time or money to waste! It's really a shame because the practice could be great!

I’m reading the negative reviews and find it hard to believe that I’ve had SUCH a different experience. Unfortunately I’ve been here many times over the last while and everyone has been amazing. From the admin staff
to the medical. Especially Dr. Horan and Dr. Allen (think he’s a resident). So kind so patient and helpful. I truly appreciate their efforts on my behalf

The office staff is disorganized, incompetent, and rude. I've had two appointments that I had to wait 3-5 months each to get, only to be told when I get there that the doctor I'm scheduled to see doesn't take my insurance. There has also been a ton of confusion about referrals, how many appointments to make, and which insurance (medical vs. vision) to bill. One staff member will tell me one thing and another will tell me something different. I even had some of it in writing in MyChart messages, but then another staff member told me that was wrong and I shouldn't have listened to the person who messaged me on MyChart because they were an assistant and not the doctor. I wasted months waiting for this appointment and now I'll have to wait several months more to find another doctor who can see me.

I love this place they saved my eyesight! Thanks to all the doctors there especially Dr Taubenslag! He is awesome! I had retinal detachment he did surgery ASAP and saved my eye. I have cataract and glaucoma and visit 3 to 4 times a year. yes it's very busy and sometimes a wait but it's all worth it! The staff is excellent!

Waited 15 minutes just to be checked in even though I was the only one on the list. Told the receptionist that's not my PCP when told to confirm information. She stared at me blankly. Finally get back to see the doctor only to find out the doctor I'm scheduled with can't see me for contacts. I was called and told they rescheduled my doctor a while back and if that's okay since my last doctor has left the practice. This ended up being untrue. This is now the second visit where I was turned away due to a scheduling / insurance issue. Spoke to the manager and she claimed it was due to doctor turnover. That wasn't really my issue. My issue is the lack of service and knowledge with the front desk and the people who deal with scheduling. Just a poorly run location. Extremely unorganized and nothing is quick nor efficient here.

Dr. Levin is very gifted in what she does, but when I think about her, it’s not the amazing job that she’s done to correct my vision that comes to mind first. Instead, what often plagues me to this day is how terrible she made me feel each and every time I went to see her. If she could just be a lot more compassionate towards patients like myself then she’d be outstanding in my opinion.

They never answer the phone. I called several times and when I finally got ahold of someone, they transferred me to a voicemail when I specifically asked to speak with someone. I called back again, and a guy named Demond said he doesn't know. Totally unprofessional. I work in the medical field and know it is a no-no to ever tell a patient that you don't know. The solution is to try to find out especially when I'm just asking what is the address and times that I can come to get my child fitted for glasses. I don't know if they are understaffed but they seriously need to get it together.

Stay the hell away from this place! OH MY GOSH!!!! I just want to pick the darn glasses up! I signed in at 11:43 and told him I was picking up glasses for my dad. I had to sign in and take a seat!! This guy is taking people that signed in AFTER me and he is moving slower than a sloth! Why is this place open?? It is now 12:21 and I am STILL waiting for him to call my name!

Two stars because the doctors are fine, but otherwise? This whole clinic (if that's the right word) is terrible. Everything goes through a call center, so refilling prescriptions is a nightmare because either something doesn't get done on their end or the pharmacy's end, so refilling is a frequent battle and a slew of phone calls when it really could be a lot simpler. I am currently trying to get one of my prescriptions set up for home delivery and can't even get in touch with the actual doctor's office to make sure the request has been seen. Communication is either being on hold a lot, being told you'll get called back and you never do, or all your info being put into an online patient portal that no one even reads anyway. Freaking awful and I am always near frustrated tears anytime I ever try to get anything done with this clinic. I regret choosing them and would leave immediately if I wasn't convinced that sending my records to another doctor just simply wouldn't happen, and THAT would be a pain too.

Love these people and I have been seeing them for a long time. Some of them came from Hopkins. This is a hard job and it requires people with a big heart. So glad to have been seen at this location.

I went here hoping to be treated for lingering symptoms of pinkeye and they told me to call back in a week if treatment A didn't work, so a week later I called twice within a 48 hour span, was told twice they would call me back, and they never did. Totally dropped the ball and ignored my repeated requests for help.

The first time I brought my husband to his appointment we had to wait almost 2 hours after our appointment time to been seen. We spent 3 hours in this office only to be told that the diagnosis would need us to come back on another day to see a different doctor. Now, we return today to see that doctor and have once again been waiting in the waiting room for over an hour in a half past our appointment time. It’s totally unacceptable to expect people to spend their entire day waiting to be seen because you over book appointments! Horrible scheduling and management process!

Consistently have to wait at least half an hour before your scheduled appointment to be seen. This office always over books appointments and the waiting room is frequently full. The staff is very friendly, but the wait is killer. Do not make any others plans because you will be in the office for over an hour.

Great staff! The place definitely gets busy and a bit hectic at times but the staff handles it really well. Needed to see a doctor asap, they asked a bunch of questions about my elements, determined who on staff I needed to see. Had to wait awhile once I got there but got the care I needed and most important got in same day.

Dr Jana Bregman is the most unprofessional Dr I have ever been to. She was extremely dismissive, rude and borderline argumentative while never actually addressing any of my concerns after over an hour of being there. This woman had a very catty and sarcastic demeanor about her and if you are planning on visiting this facility I would HIGHLY recommend reconsidering and finding someone else. I’ve never felt the need to write a bad review for anyone but I really felt strongly that this needed to be said because I left this facility very upset with my experience and with none of my concerns addressed or taken seriously. If I could give a zero for this lady I would.

Wish the option of -2 stars was available. Took an entire 2 years to receive my contacts...several visits, hours on hold, paid in 2017 for contacts received in 2019...only to receive a PAST DUE bill a month later for the same contacts. Hours on hold again, billing issue still unresolved. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Would never recommend or would not wish this experience on my worst enemy. Unorganized pure chaos and confusion.

The people who work at the glasses center are not helpful. They couldn't care less about helping pick out frames, sizing them correctly, or showing me which ones were in my price range/covered by my insurance. Everyone else was very nice and good at their job.

The young lady I spoke with on the phone this morning 12/11/18 at around 1145 am, I believe she said her name was Ryan, she was very short and slightly abrasive, hardly gave me anytime to answer the questions that she asked me. It deterred me from making an appointment at the time even though I really need one. The young lady should work on her patience, especially if she is in customer service. I'm really glad this was a phone conversation versus face to face and I was able to just end the call.

The staff was awesome they treated me and my daughter like people and not patients. I work in the medical field and I am a consumer relations specialist who takes customers care to heart. I was over pleased with the level of care my daughter received, the day prior to us going we were at Visionworks and they told me my daughter needed corrective glasses. She had been fight what we thought was pink eye for 3 weeks. I decided to get a second opinion and called University they told me to bring her right in the same day. As soon as we walked in the young lady and the nurse at the front desk greeted us with a smile they took one look at my child and said her name. Without a wait they took her right back to check her eye. The doctors were extremely caring and I could see the level of concern for her vision. They listened to all my concerns never making me feel like the overly worried mom. I am switching my entire family and they will be the go to from now on.

I called to make an appointment as they were recommended to me by my vision insurance, Advantica. I was told by them that they do accept Advantica but they do not accept my health insurance, Kaiser so they could not accept me as a new patient. Why would they need my health insurance??

The doctor didn't explain any changes in my prescription. I had to ask HIM what kind of contacts he gave me for the trial pair. Offered no help when stating that I couldn't see anything without my contacts in. Find somewhere else to go. Walmart did a much better job.

Staff is very unprofessional. I have called several times to speak to my doctor regarding my contacts with no call backs. Been trying to get these contacts for 3 months now. Tried billing the wrong insurance after I told them several times which policy to bill. Wendy in their office is a pathological liar....

I'm not sure how they are in business. The staff members I have interacted with have been unprofessional, haven't returned calls, and often can't even log in to the computer system to access my file. They have consistently made mistakes: overcharged me and sent me the wrong contacts in the mail. My initial appointment wasn't even scheduled correctly. I still have not received a refund for a wrongful charge in April. It's been 5 months. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
