Honestly i had a good experience at this location. The optometrist was very thorough. She was very quick. At the end of visit, she explained some things that I had questions about. Selection of frames is on the sparse side, but I found a perfect frame. The glasses got shipped to me within 10 days. When I went back to have frames adjusted, it took just a few minutes and out the door.

Everytime I have to go here for an eye appointment there is an administrative disfunction. This is not my first VA eye clinic but it is definitely the worst and most unhelpful. From the front desk to the doctors never a good experience or helpful attitude. So this year I'm sent out to a community care eye doctor because this clinic is "booked six months out", which is funny because the waiting room is always empty-ish. Community eye doc was great, helpful, and recommended the transition lenses I have been prescribed for a decade for various reasons. This dang va clinic denies the transitions because the community care doc wrote "recommended" instead of medically necessary. The community doc is super willing to help and change his note to meet the exact wording criteria the va says they need, but the va tells me it's too late and that's what he wrote so transitions are denied. Ok then why did the va eye docs prescribe me the same dang transition lenses for the last decade? The worst healthcare I've experienced from east to west coasts.

The VA staff are great, but the contract eye glass dispenser is rude. I've ordered glasses 3 times from them and each time, after waiting 3 to 4 weeks the glasses came were the wrong prescription. When I tried to explain to her the glasses were incorrect, she argued with me. The situation was finally resolved, but a 300% error ratio is not just bad but inexcusable.
