This office is a joke. Waited over one hour to see Dr Joos. I had originally scheduled with Dr Zachary Joos and was automatically assigned to be seen by Dr Joos senior. The assistant had left the exam door open while I waited for the doctor and all I could hear out in the hallway was the doctor complain about patients. Dr Joos senior had difficulty using the equipment to check my vision and gave me a grossly incorrect eye prescription for glasses that resulted in ongoing migraines. I ended up seeing my family doctor who sent me to another eye doctor who corrected my eye prescription. On top of this, Dr Joos office incorrectly billed my insurance and they denied coverage, so I ended up paying for 100% of the bill. I learned the hard way that their staff including the clinic manager do not answer calls and emails when they know you have placed a complaint. This clinic should be evaluated by the state health department and their billing practices reviewed for compliance.

We have been going to Valley Eye and Lsr for about 16years. We have always been treated very well. They treated our daughter starting at ag 2 and she loved Dr. Monson, still does. Dr Joos helped save my eyesight. I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

These guys completely dropped the ball and forgot to send in an important prescription for a shingles eye infection, and sure enough, they were off the next day so still can’t get it. If you need help, go somewhere else if you can. Ridiculous.

I Took my son today to his appointment and as a young mother the doctor made me feel horrible. He was questioning if I saw something wrong on his eyes because to him there was nothing wrong with his eyes. When he was doing my son eye exam he got upset because my son kept moving since the light was hurting his eyes and that was the main reason why I made this appointment because of eye pain on a 6 years old is not normal. Was really disappointment of this Dr. and had to wait an hour to be seen. First and last time I will be going there.

I can't give Dr. Joos even one star. He originally told me I had no issues but Cataracts, even though I told him my vision was failing, and that I believed my lasik was failing. He did the surgery and I see far worse than I have in my life. He entirely dismissed my astigmatism that apparently I "walked in with" (he said my lasik hadn't failed, but later said the astigmatism was there when I came in). It was FAR worse upon leaving. I now wear glasses to correct my vision that didn't need glasses before, due to his fumble in the preparation and surgery. On top of that, he prescribed two pairs of glasses that were not correct, and I finally had to go to my optometrist to get them right. He impressed me as "not all together" in terms of conversation, was mean and fiesty in his approach, and seemed to forget things. I'd suggest finding another doctor. When his staff roles their eyes when he speaks, you know it's bad.

I have been a patient for 20 years and no one had ever been rude. They are always professional and compassion.
The nurse ALWAYS check my meds. If there is something different I bring a list of all my current meds and dosage.
She checks the strength of my readers.
They ALWAYS clean the instruments. The exams are very thorough.
I don't know what people when they have a hipper brat. It is the moms responsibility to keep the kids calm to help the doctor do an exam.
NO I not a colleague, I'm a patient that doesn't expect everyone fall all over me when I have an appointment.
All the doctors are professional and great doctors.

The doctor’s service is not bad but they have a horrible online payment system. They use a online payment system called doxo which is your nightmare. Once you signed up on this platform, it will constantly send you payment notifications even though your bill has been already paid off months ago. It won’t stop. Don’t sign up, don’t sign up! Suggestion: I wish Valley Eye center can damp this doxo and go pick a normal, reasonable, reputable system.

I am greatly disappointed in this clinic. I went here about a year ago. And the front desk was absolutely rude. Calling me out on things I was wrong about my insurance.
At the time, I had dual coverage. And they collected a copay. (I work in a healthcare system and we never collect copays from dual insurance) and it was for $75. I am still receiving bills from them stating I owe $75. And I called the clinic to verify and they said I didn’t owe them anything. That they owed me money. So I asked them for a refund and it took them MONTHS to get me it. I kept getting bills stating I owed them money when in reality they owed me money. They offered me a credit towards the clinic. And no way will I go back. I called them and it took them a week to return my call.
The clinic manager was supposed to call me when my refund is being sent to the mail and she never did. I had to call the clinic. I will NEVER return my care here. What an awful clinic. I never once got an apology for their screw up.

Very Unprofessional office. The staff never asked any questions regarding changes to medical history or even to know if I was wearing my contacts or not. After my eyes were dilated I was sat in a chair in the hallway and at one point Dr.Monson and another healthcare professional come and sat down next to me and begin talking disrespectfully about an OBGYN who worked in the building and called her a "Troll". I'm pregnant..... he then also made inappropriate remarks to his female nurse about pregnancy. My first visit with him 1.5 years ago he told me he didn't trust my medical records from other eye dr's such as the leading glaucoma specialist at Emory eye research hospital. Well, my 2nd visit with him recently where he spoke ill about the OBGYN, he couldn't even understand his own records he had made for me. At one point he asked me why a dr would have put me on one of my eye drops..... HE WAS THE ONE WHO PUT ME ON THEM!!!!!

Poor treatment. After 4 visits each one I felt like a new patient having to explain my history each time.
The Dr. is looking at my file as if for the first time. Wasted my time and money. The last visit I was handed a brochure and told to come back in a year.
My issues were not resolved.
They don't have time for you.

Poor customer service. Scheduling office changed our appointment multiple times. After several phone calls and email, they still get it wrong. No accountability.

My grandfather had cataract surgery from Dr.Paul Joos. He is senior but his behavior towards patients was really awful. I was very surprised a senior and respected doctor talking to his patients rudely.
I went to the clinic 4 days ago. And, we had appointment at 8:30 and they called us at 10:30. The doctor didn't even listened what my grandfather was saying. He was just with us for 1 minute that it. I wondered that did i just waited for 2 hours for this? My grandfather had couple questions but the Dr. Paul Joos was in hurry not ready to treat his patients equally.
The staff did not care about patients time. And, everytime I got there the staff doesn't have smile on their faces.
Always get disappointed from this office staff and doctor. I won't suggest anyone this eye laser office.

Poor customer service. After the last patient walked out, nobobdy cleaned the examination chair. They had me come right in. Everyone/ staff is walking around, head down and glued to an iPad/tablet, running into one another. Appointments are always late. My appointment was for 3:25pm, and it's 4:00 pmp and have yet to be seen. Dr. Joos, didn't even care to give me an examination. He looked at my eye, and told me," here's some drops, come back in a few days! Why put yellow drops in my eyes if your not going to even examine it?? However Dr. Monson, my regular doctor, is a very professional opthalmologist! !

Dr. Joos is an excellent doctor. I have seen him for twenty years and he is very competent, compassionate, and interested in my life. My wife also trusts him with her vision care. My vision is excellent with his corrective contact lenses and eye glasses. Thank you Dr. Joos.
