Dr Verdi and his staff have been incredible! They always listen to my concerns and explain what they’re doing during appointments. Dr. Verdi is clearly very bright and very patient. I cannot say enough good things about this practice!

0 stars! This provider should be your last resort. Very poor customer service! An associate I know, left a negative review, and like most of do, I said, "that's her experience". But she was very right! Front of house "temporary workers" are disgusting!

I’ve been a patient at this eye clinic for five years, coming in every two years in line with my insurance coverage. I’ve been nearsighted since childhood, and each visit has shown a steady progression in my vision changes. I’ve also shared my limited family history, which includes a biological brother in Africa who is blind, so I take my eye health seriously.
About six months ago, I had an appointment with Dr. Franklin after noticing a significant decline in my vision. When my test results appeared normal, he accused me of being dishonest about my symptoms. That accusation was not only unprofessional, it was deeply upsetting. Coming from an adoptive family of medical doctors, I understand the importance of honesty in healthcare and would never fabricate concerns. That visit destroyed my trust in him, and I decided I would not return.
However, my neighbors spoke highly of Dr. Verdi, so I gave the clinic a second chance. I’m glad I did. At my most recent appointment, Dr. Verdi found that I have 20/20 vision with glasses. His professionalism, thoroughness, and respectful manner were outstanding.
I’ve never had any issues with the staff here either, especially Cassandra, who handles glasses — she’s always been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
While I won’t be returning to Dr. Franklin, I do recommend Dr. Verdi and the staff. My advice to future patients: choose your provider here carefully, and you can have a great experience.

Awful absolutely awful ! From jump i wasn't scheduled correctly didnt know what was going on i had to ask all the questions my appointment was scheduled wrong . They didnt even tell me that I needed a referral before I was seen . I had to jump through hoops to get the referral so that I wasn't charged by them so my insurance would cover it . Do not im telling you now I do not recommend going ! This place doesn't even deserve a star!

ZERO STARS!!! I have just LEFT the Granby st location —- furious!! As a potential New Patient, I was entering the front door with my leashed & vested service dog to be accosted by a staff member standing to the side of the front office. She didn’t even give the receptionist an opportunity to greet me & inquire about the dog! Before getting half way through the door, this lady very rudely stepped over to the front desk & says: Ma’m, your service dog must be wearing a vest! I was shocked. I hesitated, looked at my dog to be sure I wasn’t completely crazy & looked up at her in amazement. “Can you not see he’s wearing a vest?” This lady replied: I don’t know, he’s little, I can’t see!” I said “it’s dark blue with a black & red service tag; no need to worry, I will find another provider!”. She then sounds like she is really yelling: “That’s just fine, give me your name so we can… No need to finish, I was back out the door. Now - I don’t need my years of experience as a medical office manager & working in the medical office environment to know this is not only exceptionally rude but a complete infringement of my rights as a law abiding citizen! Especially a new, never having darkened your door potential patients! It’s very clear there are BIG issues in this office. How will patients ever believe the website statement of caring about your patients “beyond ophthalmology” when I’ve just been yelled at trying to enter the building? It’s very clear this employee has no empathy for potentially disabled patients, very little “dog knowledge”, and very likely needs to reconsider her position of “entitlement” within the office structure. Heaven help you all if she is the office manager. Maybe she needs glasses too!

Staff is friendly however I showed up early to my appointment, waited 30 minutes before I was taken back initially to get checked it. Then was made to wait again where it took an additional 45 minutes of waiting before I even saw a Dr. The gentleman was nice enough, talked to me for about 3 minutes and then tells me that they have to get approval from my insurance company first before proceeding and that I’ll have to come back for a second visit. Could’ve easily gotten with them while I was waiting that entire time. Will not be going back here.

Appt was scheduled 3 weeks out, i started calling the office after waiting the 2 weeks and could only reach an answering service. After 3 and a half weeks I reached the office and they told me the glasses were ready 10 days ago they sent a text. To the wrong number! How? When i had updated my information the day of the visit.
Never going back.

They received a referral from my primary physician and called me over a month ago to set up my appointment. It was for today, April 24th, 2024, at 3:00 pm. I arrived early as asked to do, so that I could complete paperwork. After a thirty minute wait I was told the next appointment for a new patient was in June. I explained that I had an appointment for today that was scheduled over a month ago. I was informed that there was no appointment scheduled for me. I am appalled at this level of incompetence. When you have staff that find it difficult to enter an appointment, I shudder to think of you or your staff examining my eyes. Please consider this review before making an appointment here! You may end up as I did, and spending both money and time to arrive for an appointment that no one documented...and more importantly, I would not trust this doctor with something as vital as my sight. First impressions are lasting impressions and I will forever associate this outfit with one word... INCOMPETENT.

I thought the office staff was friendly and efficient and Dr Verdi seemed to be caring about taking care of my glaucoma. Stressed several times to call office if my prescription for drops run out. My appt was right on schedule.

Please avoid this money hungry place. First and foremost I’ve been going here for the past few years. Had insurance the first few times going. Have since lost my vision insurance, so self pay. Still went to my appointment- arrived early- paid my mandatory fee for self pay which they collect on you signing in. Got called in the back, the young lady whom did all my tests was extremely nice. Dr Verdi comes in some 30 minutes later to see me for a whole 10 minutes MAX. The young lady explained I’d be getting pictures of my eyes, due to me going more often, to my Thyroid disease. Dr said as me leaving to be checked out that I was a NEW patient and should be charged as such. If you haven’t been in 2 years they consider you a new patient. Totally understandable I myself work in an office and we do the same. HOWEVER if my last appointment was under 2 years??? I’m not a new patient right??!! Exactly well in front of me a 2 other patients he argued with staff member that I need to be charged new patient price. I’m self pay and NOT a new patient!!! What about HIPAA and patient privacy, apparently here they do not practice that. The price difference was not huge, but also not small to a self paying patient! If I had insurance and they were billing them that might?! be different but might not. Money is apparently above HIPAA privacy and Doctor / patient repoir. I was shocked that he ran out of the room to track the staff member down and argue what fee to charge me, in front of 2 other patients. I’m not one to write reviews at all, however this needs to be known. Not only was I embarrassed being belief, but this is something you write on my check out sheet, or before I come out of the room tell the front desk. Not the whole office my personal business. Needless to say I calmly spoke with the front desk lady and between her and myself we figured out that I actually was NOT a new patient, and she charged me exactly what I should have been charged. Existing patient fee- minus the pictures I NEVER got that day because he was SO behind, and told me we would do those next time. When he came into the room initially he told me he was running behind most of the morning and I was the last patient of the day. WELL cut my appointment short to start your weekend, and make choices to speak on my situations in front of other patients. These are totally unacceptable practices for any office. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Take your eyes and money elsewhere.
Always check with your local BBB office to clarify that they are a compassionate place for your healthcare and your health is their priority not their pockets, and getting out the door to start their weekend. Don’t always go by reviews do some research. Everyone is different, and have different opinions. Violating HIPPA practices and policies is above and beyond unacceptable. Please note the front staff were very helpful, and polite and respectful. They apologized profusely, and I explained to each of them that they were not the ones to be apologizing. They did nothing wrong. If you care about the health of your eyes please go elsewhere. The other Dr there may be great, but Dr. Verdi definitely needs to follow up on the laws of HIPPA privacy, and when a new patient is ACTUALLY a new patient, and when self pay is a huge difference for people paying out of pocket and they call ahead of time to have the amount to pay, and it gets changed at the last minute, because the Dr wants to charge you more, because he thinks you should be charged as a new patient. Go elsewhere- somewhere your care is actually priority- not what you are paying out of pocket. Already found a new office and truly feel like my eye care is their top priority.

Have been a patient since the old office. Always great eye care and it's very easy to get glasses made in the same office. Any issues are quickly resolved.

I've been going here for years, but the service has gone downhill tremendously. I never get taken on time, even with early morning appointments. The receptionist takes her time getting your file to the doctor, and even with an 8:25 a.m. appointment, I didn't get seen until almost 8:45. This receptionist was one of the most incompetent person I have come across. Also, I had to have a test done, and when I was finally called, I asked why it took so long and the tech said she had to get the machine ready...seriously? Shouldn't the people look at the chart to see what the patient needs and make sure all machines are ready? And to top everything off, when I did get seen, it was the wrong doctor! The doctor I made an apt with was not even there! Please avoid this place, as these people do not care about you!

I came here for a QTC referral from the VA and was blown away with the staff and service. They were so welcoming and helpful that I am considering making them my regular eye specialists. The office was clean and comfortable and the staff did an amazing job making sure people were getting in and getting taken care of. Absolutely recommend Verdi Eye Specialists!! Thank you guys again for the exceptional treatment!!

Add an appointment with Dr Franklin this morning, which I just walked out of the appointment was at 8:20... At 8:30 Dr Franklin was just cruising around talking to the girls up front and I could hear him laughing and I'm thinking well there's people back there what's the deal...
840 I'm still sitting there 845 same thing he's walking around talking to people
There was another lady sitting there that said he should go back there and take care of people my appointments at 8:30 I said yeah well my appointment was at 8:20...
So the girl comes out and calls the lady back that says her appointment was at 8:30 of course at this time it's 8:50..
I said excuse me my appointment was before her she said we don't take people according to when they come in we take them according to appointments I said well my appointment was 10 minutes before hers she said oh well I walked out
I tried Verde eye Care two years ago same issue
I am a partial agoraphobic I do not like to be out and in places where there's people.. I told them that when I made the appointment I was promised I would be seeing promptly and if there is any way they can be reported to Medicare I'm on it
