We have been getting our eye exams, eyeglasses and contacts at this location for several years and have always been happy with the service and products we received. During 2020/2021 we ended up at a different place in Albuquerque but were happy last year to come back. At some point we ended up having to have our appointments toward the end of December due to insurance and our adult children's college schedules. We needed to schedule 4 eye exams, along with 3 of us getting glasses and contacts and the 4th getting two pair of glasses. We had a period of three days the week before Christmas we could all get in and I scheduled all four of us online for the same day every 15 minutes apart. I then received a call saying they can only schedule two people from a family on the same day because people have not shown up. There wasn't another day during the week we needed that had any availability. We have scheduled like this in the past and all four of us had appointments last year which they approved because we live 180 miles away. I asked if they could make an exception because it is a 2.5 hour drive and costs roughly $60-80 in gas or we would need to stay overnight in a hotel. I even said I could give them a credit card and authorize them to charge us if we didn't show up. I feel we are being punished for other people's inability to show up for their appointments. They refused to make any exception due to our circumstances so we will be going to Lubbock Vision. They were able to book all four of us as new patients on the same day we had originally planned to come here. I understand the policy but exceptions should be able to be able to be made for extenuating circumstances.

I've gone to Vision Consultants & Dr Hogan for longer than he'd probably like for me to say, but I've never had a bad experience with him or the company. I personally don't care for the move to the mall for a number of reasons, but they're still a great Optometrist experience for me.

If you go, please do not see Dr. Alambar He is way too intense with his personal opinions. My wife left in tears with extreme anxiety from him talking.
