My family and I have been using Vision Consultants for about 5 or 6 years. I can't speak for the rest of my family, but I won't be returning. Dr. Hogan is wonderful. This review is not directed towards him at all- he's always been friendly towards me and my family, and does his job well. He's a sweet, competent man. His office staff is horrible. They are consistently rude to clients, both at check in and check out. The last time I went in for a check up, over the summer, I had decided I wanted to start wearing glasses more. They only carry designer frames, so I asked for my prescription so that I could buy glasses elsewhere that I could afford. I was treated like that was something they could not do. They tried to not release my records to me. That should never happen. Towards the end of my colleges winter break, I went in to VC because I needed to order more contacts. I was told they would be ready in two days, and to come back then. When I arrived, I was told that they had ordered my the wrong prescription for one of my eyes. I have different prescriptions for each of my eyes, so I would need to wait to wear contacts again until they ordered me the correct box. I informed the office staff that I was supposed to be heading back to college, in a different town, over the weekend. They let me know that they would mail me the box once it came in. I was told to expect them the following Tuesday. The following week came and went, and I still did not have any contacts. I called, and was told that they did not include my apartment number in my address, so the box had been sent back to the post office. The woman I spoke to told me that the box would be sent back to them, and they would correct the address error and try to send them again. Another week and a half came and went, and here I am three weeks later without contacts. I just got off the phone with a different woman who informed me that they did not know what happened to the other box, but that they would reorder a box and mail it to me. I'm not exactly holding my breath. Dr. Hogan is wonderful, but until he gets a competent staff, I won't be returning.
