Dr Shirey was great! He was very friendly and did a thorough exam. He didn’t seem rushed and was available to answer questions. His technician was also very kind and patient throughout the visit. The overall atmosphere was pleasant. Will be returning for my next check up. Highly recommend!

Dr. Isen and her team at Southern Eye Group provided excellent care, but I especially want to recognize Maya, Dr. Isen’s technician. Maya was absolutely amazing. From the moment she assisted me, she was professional, kind, patient, and made me feel completely comfortable. Her dedication and compassion truly stood out, and it is easy to see that she takes pride in what she does. Maya is the kind of person who makes a patient feel seen, heard, and cared for. Dr. Isen was very thorough and took the time to explain things and address my concerns. Although the wait time may be a little longer, after my visit I understood why. The care, attention, and professionalism made it worth it. A very special kudos to Maya — she is truly awesome and deserves to be recognized! They wouldn't get any stars if I could choose that. I have tried repeatedly to get another prescription for my contacts because I did not adapt to the mono-vision. I've left several messages, but they absolutely WILL NOT call anybody back. The auto-msg says the call volume is unusually high & to leave a msg or call back OR you can come by the office for your needs. They are being paid for services they are not rendering. This high call volume has been since March of this year!!! I should NOT have to drive all the way over there just to ask for a prescription that is not out of date. I was in the office one afternoon & there were 2 ladies in optical chatting about personal business while the phones were ringing. Not once did they answer & the supervisor sat in her office & never said a word about it. I've been with them for many years, but will not return for my next appointment. The customer service seems to be non-existent now, for some reason. VERY disappointed.

I’m giving this place a one star review only because it won’t let me give ZERO!! I have had the absolute worst experience here, x4. Starting off with calling to schedule my appointment. I sat on hold for over an hour. When I finally spoke with someone I gave them all my information, insurance included. The soonest they could get me in was a month and a half from the call. I made my first appointment for May 22nd, just to show up and have them tell me my insurance wasn’t going to cover my appointment. This is something they should’ve known before I came in. If they can send me emails, texts, forms upon forms to fill out how am I just being told this the day of my appointment!? SO, I cancelled my appointment that I waited so long for and went home and figured out the insurance debacle myself. After getting that completed, I went to their app and scheduled another appointment with a different doctor who could get me in the soonest. I was NOT about to call and sit on the phone for an ungodly amount of time, AGAIN. I was able to get in June 1st for my second appointment. I was already anxious about going in because my first appointment was a flop and I was having to see a doctor I did not know. I get there, everything was going smoothly, the nurse started the actual appointment by checking my vision and pressure etc. After going through the basic exam, the nurse asks why I am there before the doctor comes in. I tell her I’m there for a simple comp exam to get my prescription renewed (which I feel like they should’ve already known anyway). I am then told that the doctor I scheduled an appointment with ONLY does neurological eye issues… which was not something specified to me on the app. I told the nurse this and she admitted that their app needed some work, and she felt bad about the whole situation. She then PERSONALLY scheduled me a new appointment for the right things with the right doctor, which I appreciated very much. Let me add, that I have a 3 year old who I have to get a sitter for EVERY time I have one of these appointments. BUT here we are, the day of my third appointment, June 10th. Even more anxious for this appointment because the last 2 weren’t successful. You’ll never guess what happened!! I get there ten minutes before my appointment at 9:50 and they tell me my appointment DOESN’T exist. I pull out the paper with my appointment on it that my nurse scheduled herself. They tell me it’s not on the schedule, and they can probably squeeze me in today at 12:30. I said “forget it, I will find a new place to go instead.” There was no way I was going to wait there for three hours, or leave and have to waste my gas driving BACK to this place. I have given them chance after chance after chance and been let down each time. I am extremely disappointed with my experience here and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, at least not until they get their stuff together.

My son and I were supposed to have annual appointments today at 1pm 9/29. . I confirmed our appointments Monday 9/ 25. My son's appt was rescheduled with another doctor without my knowledge to 10/3. Appt clerk said Dr. White isn't taking new patients and they were just notified. They claimed to have left a message, but my voice-mail isn't set up for them to have done so. When I said I didn't appreciate how this was handled, there was no remorse. People make appointments that are convenient for them. I asked for a manager to let them know how dissatisfied I was, but of course, I wasn't able to do so..
