The employees are nice. I’ve used them for two years now. The dr always seems rushed, at each visit I’ve waited 30 minutes to see the dr, this past visit for just a quick check of my contacts. Two people came in after me and were seen before me which seems silly when my visit was so short. I asked if my pupillary distance had been on my glasses prescription since this is now required to order glasses. I was told no and that “the next person can help you with that”. I’m not sure that that means?? I guess I have to pay for another eye exam to have someone measure my PD. Which makes no sense, if my PD is required to order glasses why are they not including it with my eye exam or at least asking if I want it done if it costs extra so that I am able to order glasses??? I chose not to order glasses through them since I can get glasses for a lot less online. Before this contact appointment I had come in to change over my prescription in my frames to my new prescription. This was a run around with the employee where they were trying to change $150 for changing out the lenses in the frames only. After saying nevermind I would just order new glasses- frames and lenses online for $50 instead, she went oh oh I was clicking the wrong this it’s actually only $35. Really? Just seems like they’re trying to get more money than necessary out of you and the customer service isn’t great. I understand businesses need to charge what they need to charge, but I prefer a business that will be honest and tell me my options. And one that isn’t always running 30-60 minutes behind an hour after they open.

We were pleasantly greeted upon entering the store. I had an appointment for that day. My wife's appointment was for the next day. They were able to see her the same day which made it more convenient for us. All personel were polite, courteous and professional. The eye doctor was very thorough. I was able to find a nice pair of frames out of the large selection and various styles. Pricing was good and who doesn't like buy one get one free?

The office lacks clear communication when it comes to conveying prescription and procedural information to patients. They assure you that things are fine when you schedule an appointment but this quickly changed once I was in the office. I asked for a copy of my prescriptions, they gave me a copy with no PWR info listed. If I lose a lens or don't have my glasses, I'm not sure what to do now. *Update* My trial lenses broke and I was told that I would just have to wear glasses. I want to add some additional info for clarity. When I went in the doctor asked me if I was looking for eyeglasses or contacts. I explained that I wanted contact lenses for convenience. She then asked how long it had been since I wore contact lenses. I told her that I wore cosmetic lenses back in 2019 but have not worn any since then. It wasn't explained that these were take home trial lenses until after I had struggled to place them in my eyes. (I used an applicator in 2019, I used my fingers in the office) I asked for the prescription information just in case I needed to purchase something to hold me over. I didn't think to take a picture of the info on the side of the box. Then I was told that I needed a consult because of the veins in my eyes but I've done my own independent research (JSTOR articles and research studies); it is not uncommon for individuals of African American descendent to have larger optical veins without any other form of glaucoma risk. I still plan to get the second opinion but I'll go to my regular eye doctor. I don't enjoy working without specifics especially when it comes to my physical health. Thank you for reaching out, Visionworks, but I'm not sure this office is for me.
