I’ve been going to Visionary Eye Care for 2 years now, and they’ve been great! Scheduling an appointment is easy. The exams are thorough. They discuss options but aren’t pushy. I highly recommend!

The eye exam was fine. The doctor was pleasant and informative. The rating is due to the experience with the glasses. My daughter is 15 and has never had glasses before. I have never worn them myself and have no experience with it, other than the $10 readers I wear. My daughter picked a pair of glasses and we went with the recommendations for coatings, etc. In my ignorance, I authorized the cost of SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS, yes $700 for a pair of glasses for a teenager. Keep in mind, these aren't some high end designer frames. I had no idea what glasses cost. Yes, I should have stopped the transaction then, but I just thought that is what they cost. Once returning home and doing some research I found out the same glasses could be purchased elsewhere for 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost for exactly the same thing. I called the next morning to cancel the order, and was unable to do so. The receptionist did the put-you-on-hold-to-pretend-to-talk-to-someone routine and of course the order has already been sent off. I seriously doubt that in less than 24 hours anyone is working on it, but no effort was made to make this right. This practice takes advantage its patients. They are banking on the ignorance of people like me that just have no idea what glasses really cost. Instead of building a long term relationship with a family, they went for gouging a new client that will never return. I hope they enjoy the exorbitant markup on that one pair of glasses because we will never come here again.

Jay had a great experience at his first (InfantSEE) eye exam with Dr. Metzger today. Their office also has adorable baby sunglasses!
