I had an amazing experience getting new lenses put into my sunglasses! Dr. Shilly was incredibly professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain my options and made sure the lenses were a perfect fit—not just optically, but aesthetically too. My sunglasses feel brand new and the vision is crystal clear. I put off having my eyes checked for a very long time (like ten years!) and then decided it was finally time to have a complete exam. I found Visioncare Associates by searching on Yelp for Optometrists near my office. When I first called, I was told up-front what the cost would be by his two very sweet assistants. My schedule is pretty hectic so I was grateful that Dr. Shily sees patients on weekends. My first visit (on a Saturday!) was everything I could have asked for and more. Dr. Shily is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. I ended up buying reading glasses with a slight tint as I stare at computers screens and read a lot for work. These glasses have been a lifesaver. Not only are my eyes less strained after my 10+ hour days, but they are also very comfortable (and stylish!). In addition to my glasses, Dr. Shily asked if I had 'dry eyes,' which I promptly replied "no" - I thought it was normal to have red eyes. Dr. told me to start using eye drops and I feel like I have new eyes!! Seriously, eye drops are amazing! I am so thankful to have found him and look forward to keeping him as my Optometrist moving forward (and recommend him to everyone I know). Thank you, Doctor!

I've been a client of Visioncare Associates since December of 2023. I sought ought Dr. Shily when my medical insurance changed vision plans. I have some complicated vision issues: severe astigmatism, keratoconus, and a prior eye surgery. It's often difficult to get my exams and costly specialized sclera lenses covered. It takes a lot of extra work with multiple fittings and multiple appeals to appease the insurance companies. In the 20 years I've been dealing with keratoconus I've come across few providers that care enough to take the time necessary to get my vision close to what the general public enjoys. Dr Shily is one of those few. He's patient, kind, and thorough. I hope he remains in practice for many more years to come. He is the best partner you could have in dealing with ageing eyes gracefully.

It's very obvious that Visioncare Associates is all about patient care, first and foremost. The staff is professional and friendly, the office is clean and well maintained, the equipment used is up-to-date state of the art technology, and most importantly the service provided is superb. Despite his many accolades and vast experience in the field, Dr. Shily, is beyond humble and caring. He is compassionate, honest, and sincerely cares about his patients and their needs. During my visit, he explained everything clearly and thoroughly so that I understood and was very patient with all my questions addressing each one. I did not feel rushed nor did he push any products like most practices do these days, and he offered various alternatives. Amazing work. Bespoke contact specialist for keratoconus. I've been seeing him for over 5 years. After bouncing from specialist to specialist across the country, Dr. Shilly has worked relentlessly to correct my vision when others said it is as good as it can get. If you have kertaconus and you are not a client here, you are leaving quality of life on the table. It is over a 1000mile trip each way for me to see him and its always worth it. If you are reading this (perhaps more likely someone is reading this to you), he is life changing.

I’ve visited this office multiple times and each time is better than the last. They were able to squeeze me in when I called for a same day appointment which was phenomenal since it was Fri and I was in a great deal of pain. All appointments have been quick and through. Office staff is very nice and helpful. Plus they have a great selection of glasses so for me it was a one stop shop. Will definitely continue to see Dr.Shily and team.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Shily at Visioncare Associates for over 20 years, and he’s hands down the best. His expertise and dedication are top-notch, especially with my tricky eyesight and hard contacts. What really impresses me is how much he genuinely cares—he’s always been super patient and understanding. I was referred to him by the Jules Stein Institute at UCLA, who said he was the go-to guy for hard contact patients, and they were absolutely right. Dr. Shily has never given up on me, even when others might have. If you’re looking for an optometrist who truly cares, look no further. I’m deeply grateful and highly recommend him—5 stars without a doubt!

First of all, I want everyone to know that Dr. Shily is one of the coolest and friendliest people in the medical field. Let that sink in. I was referred to his practice by a good friend of mine, since I have a lot of astigmatism. I had checked my eyes by Dr. Shily a few weeks ago, and just received my custom contact lenses. Just visited Dr. Shily, and did a comprehensive eye exam as I have issues with my eyes, has prescribed me an ointment that right at the first time that I used it, made my eye feel a lot better. Would recommend him.

All changes saved When I started to write this review, I realized that there were no words adequate enough to express what I wanted to say. But here goes...I have been a patient of Dr. Shily for several years now. His office is located in the heart of Beverly Hills. When you walk into his office, you are treated with warmth, courtesy and respect. You truly get concierge treatment. His assistant, Rosa, at the front desk is sweet and polite, and makes sure that you are attended to efficiently. The office is never crowded and you are attended to promptly, so be on time, or call ahead if you are running late. Unlike other places, his office respects the time of his patients, so I make it a point to respect his. The first time I visited his office, I was scheduled for an eye exam and fitted for contacts. I had never worn contacts before, so of course, I was a little curious if I could ever learn to put them on. But, not to worry! He taught me the procedures from A - Z, and protocols of caring for my eyes and contacts. Dr. Shily has state of the art equipment to examine your eyes. What struck me the most about Dr. Shily is that he really cares about his patients. He worked with me at length to insure that the corrective lenses that were fitted for me were perfect for me. And for this I am very grateful.

For starters they sell the display frames, I paid over $600 for designer glasses and then you don’t even get the designer case that’s suppose to come with it. Then I totally was not satisfied with my glasses how they fit on my face. So now …

Best 👌 and most knowledgeable doctor I ever visited with. first time back in 1991 when I visited and was seated. on the chair for doctor to check my eyes while they were burning and I was in pain he told me exactly 💯 what was wrong and why I was in pain, since I am not seeing any other doctor only him.I do highly recommend doctor Shily.I am up for my 2023 check up. I love going to Dr. Shily’s office! He is the beat optometrist- always taking the time with me and my husband when we come in and being very thorough. His office is very clean and his secretary at the front desk is so nice and friendly.

I was referred to Dr. Shily by Dr. Rabinowitz, a cornea specialist, regarding my keratoconus. Dr. Shily fitted me with scleral lenses and made me see 20/20 for the first time ever on the first trial lenses. He has an amazing staff and a beautiful office with the latest diagnostic instrumentations. He was very patient and detail oriented. Not only did he help me see 20/20 he helped me with my dry eyes. Also, his office staff helped me with my insurance billing for medically necessary scleral contact lenses which helped me a lot financially.
