VisionFirst is an eye care practice with 18 locations across Kentucky and Indiana. It provides full-scope optometric care, including comprehensive eye exams, and coordinates with specialists in retina, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatrics, cornea, and oculoplastics when surgery is needed.
The practice has served Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana since 1973. Dr. Rod Rallo moved to Louisville and expanded the practice by purchasing Louisville Optical in 1987. Optomap retinal imaging and OCT are available at every location.

Visionfirst is hands-down the best Optometrist in Louisville by a landslide. My child and I started seeing them 3 years ago at the Middletown location and they now continue to exceed our expectations at the taylorhurst location. We always experience short wait times and friendly staff. Today Emily was able to help me with an emergency contact order when one of my contacts ripped. Thanks Emily!

I've gone here for years and only ever had good experiences. But today I went and was told my total for glasses after insurance was 425 and some change. Later, I received a call that there was a mistake and I now owe another $60 the next time I come in. That's a hefty increase that I needed to be consulted on as to whether I wish to change or cancel my order, not just told I owe more than what I paid.
