DO NOT GO TO POPLAR LEVEL LOCATION!!!! Especially if you have Medicaid. Eye exam was fine, but after was told to wait an extremely cold waiting room because they were busy with patients before me. I follow receptionist instructions and waited in the room. After a half an hour I noticed that patients that came in after me were seen, even those that walked in with no appointment came in and were seen. Why was no one calling on me. I still thought I should wait because perhaps they were working on my file or something. Then I saw more people come in just for glass adjustments. They went straight to the fitting area. Again, passed up. So, I went to the front desk. Reason I was not called on? The girl that was too busy chatting with coworkers and playing with her hair had never put me on list to be seen. Having now waited an hour I was told I could be help after next person so basically told to wait till after 5. My appointment was 3. I was even there early. I left heated, upset, this is the treatment you get on Medicaid. They could care less because to them you are less. Caught manager outside building asked him why this happened. All he could do is apologize. He has apparently only been new manager for a few days. I never got glasses and left. Now will have to wait a while year to get another exam and glasses stuck with Target readers and my vision will suffer cause a millennial receptionist can't do her job. If she wants to socialize, she should march herself down to a Starbucks job, the chat all the time there, she will fit right in.

I had recently contacted them on the phone about my husband’s glasses that we have received from the one on Dixie and we didn’t have a very good experience. even though we had went there 12 years we had never had a problem until this last year The last time we went, so I contacted the one on Poplar level and they accommodated and fixed my husbands problem the best they could even though he still has the glasses and everything but now we can get a new pair this year that he’s been suffering with those for two years And then one on Dixie was just like oh well nothing we can do about it when it was their mistake, I mean, if it was something we did we would own up to it but it was nothing we did. It was clearly there a mistake, giving my husband, the wrong prescriptions glasses . Everyone was helpful and even though they were busy we didn’t have to wait long at all , we use to go to the Dixie location for 12 years but no longer go there due to some bad actions of them on their part . my whole family will now go here to poplar level rd location , we seen DR JULIE yesterday super sweet They know how to treat you . When I go somewhere I expect to be treated with the respect I give someone and this place did just that ! Amazing staff everyone was so friendly ! Thank you for giving us a better outlook

VisionFirst staff are always professional, friendly and informative. The doctors there are the best! The young lady working in the contacts department is extremely impressive at her job. I highly recommend VisionFirst on Poplar Level for all your eye care needs.
