Transferred here after moving from the Pell city location, which was a great experience. And I’m not coming back. The wait was long after my appointment time. The lobby is dirty and has a distinct body odor smell. You get called back into a room, the first half of the exam is done, then you go to a SECOND waiting room to wait to be seen by an actual doctor. I’ve been going to optometrists my entire life and have never had an experience this complicated. My exam next summer will definitely be done by a different doctor at a new office.

My husband and I have been patients for many years. We have always received excellent care of our vision health needs. One year we chose to go for our annual vision exams at a practice closer to our home. But quickly decided we are willing to travel a much greater distance in order to be provided care that we know is comprehensive from providers we have complete trust and confidence in.

Medical staff is professional and great. The administrative staff ruins the experience. I flew in from across the country for an eye appointment here and they misunderstood and misinformed me of my insurance coverage. I wasted so much time, money, and travel thinking the admins would understand how to run insurance and calendaring patients.

Dr. McClintock and the team at VisionFirst are so nice. They were short-handed the day of my appointment but no one was snippy or hateful, just kept things moving along. I definitely feel like they appreciate me as a patient.

Vision First is awesome. I have been going there for well over 15 years. Dr. Doss is amazing! The staff is so friendly. Ordering my new glasses was so easy! Setting up my future appointment for my cataract surgery consultation was also easy. I can’t say enough great things about them.

I like the fact that the staff is very thorough, very nice and informative. They take time with you and interact with you and to me that says alot. The dr i saw did the same and the glasses staff took time to explain things and I was very happy about that. Thank you Vision First.

Been a patient here for 10+ years and we've only had positive experiences with the front desk and the staff. Today it was the optical center that took really good care of me! Angie is fantastic and really went above and beyond making sure I had what I really needed. I plan to buy my contacts from them in the future, too. I just wanna say that it's typical to have a hard time getting someone on the phone with an order- for all these places. I've had that experience plenty, but here is better than many other places because they'll make sure you get taken care of if you can find the time to come in in-person for info about your glasses or contacts. Additional edit to say I came in at the end of the year when the place was packed. The staff were working as hard as they could to get through the line while making sure each customer got the time and attention they needed. That itself is worth 5 stars.

I always have a great experience at VisionFirst! Everyone is so nice. Dr. McClintok made sure I got exactly what I needed and the sweet young lady I ordered my glasses with made sure I got what I wanted! She was so patient and helpful! 10 out of 10!
