Overall experience was good. Routine eye exam, glasses....I give 2 stars because I called in to get more paperwork requested by my insurance only to be told that I had to come into the store to get it. I explained that I work out of state, and the agent told me that they are unable to email or send any prescriptions or receipts because of security......so I called the 1-800 customer service for Visionworks. They were happy to email the requested receipts to me.

I purchased a pair of glasses at this location about 2 years ago, and I just recently began to see some wear on them. But unexpectedly they broke, leaving them unwearable. I decided to return to this location to see if they could be repaired. Calling ahead, I was told a lab tech could solder them back together, but the phone call was received by a new employee who believed they could be fixed when in fact they could not. That was the only downside of my experience, but this was very little in the grand scheme. Plus, she was new, it happens. By an experienced employee, I was recommended to a local jeweler (Jewelry Gallery, Westfield, IN) to get them repaired. The recommendation was very professional! A few days later, they were repaired by the jeweler and I returned to Visionworks to get them adjusted. Josh and a woman who I never received the name of were very helpful and honest. They examined the way the glasses fit on my face post repair, and were also able to notice loose screws on them that could have gone unnoticed otherwise. I left very pleased and set to wear my glasses until it’s time to get new ones. They even told me I could wear this pair for about another year! I will definitely return to this location to buy another pair in the future. Thank you for your professionalism!

If I could give them a 0 star review I would. I have had the worst experience with this visionworks. I went over a month ago and got a new prescription. It was my first time trying contacts. They have so many rules surrounding that. First, they didn't even have the correct contacts in stock so I had to wait almost a month for a contact appt. They suggested I don't get my new glasses until I get my contacts, so I currently still do not have the correct prescription for glasses or contacts. They said if it is your first time getting contacts you have to have a training appt. I know how to put contacts in and they refused to let me sign a waiver. The soonest appt they had for this was almost a month out. I had to cancel that one for family reasons and when I tried to reschedule they said I could only come in from 7-2 PM. I have work and can't take off so I said I couldn't, so then my new appt was over this past weekend. They NEVER once the 3-4 times I scheduled an appt told me a cancellation grace period. This past appt I knew I was going to be a couple minutes late so I called ahead. They told me I had 5 minutes after my appt to get there before it gets cancelled even though I was calling ahead to inform them I was running behind. They NEVER told me about the 5 min grace period when I scheduled any of my several appts I have had with them. When my husband scheduled our first appt with them a month ago, they told him there was a 10 minute grace period. Anyways, I went it and was about 8 min late and they told me my appt had been cancelled. They were so rude and unwilling to work with me at all. I told them I was willing to wait until a break in appts and they told me that wasn't an option. I told them I will not be purchasing anything from them and they said they would not give me my prescription info even though it is my medical documents. I had to specifically ask for my glasses prescription info for them to give me anything. They were not apologetic at all. They were so incredibly rude. I would not recommend any one to EVER go here.
