I was greeted immediately with a warm welcoming atmosphere. It is great to see familiar faces! I brought my eleven year old daughter to get her familiar with how eye appointments work. Everyone was great about sharing and talking about what each exam component meant. Afterwards, I felt no pressure as I selected my future frames. Hayley is my favorite! She remembers me, my personality, likes and dislikes. My insurance coverage changed. Hayley was patient as she answered my questions. She documented my new preferences for future efficiency AND helped me schedule an appointment for my husband.

Not a very friendly staff. Dr. Cox was okay, sufficient I suppose and nice enough but not overly helpful especially if you have any needs outside of a basic simple vision test exam. The Hixson location specifically is impossible to reach by telephone if you have questions…or try to order contacts when you are unable to online - kinda ridiculous if you ask me. Even called the 1800# that sent them a message to contact me which of course no one ever did, I had to physically go in again to place the order. It was my first and only visit after relocating to the area but I definitely won’t be going back. ☹️

Been going here for YEARS and always had an okay experience. Called today as I have lost our perscriptions due to having 4 children, one being special needs that is in our of the hospital constantly and was assisted by the most rude lady. I asked her to email it and she stated that there’s no way of her doing that, when I have in my possession another prescription that was emailed to me because they know of my situation and we are usually in Birmingham with our son and getting back to hixson isn’t easy. We will be moving our whole family from this office. We’ve spent THOUSANDS here and to be talked to like I was stupid will not be tolerated. If she hates her job so much of having to answer the phone she should find another job to suit her personality. I also asked if she could assist me in checking with my benefits that we had left so that I could purchase glasses through them and she was no help said I needed to call my insurance company as she had no way of looking… not sure how not when you go in to buy they look it up. It was a thing of she just didn’t want to. My advice is to go elsewhere do not give them your time or money.. not worth it.
