I’ve been here twice before for eye exams. Today, I had my yearly visit. I was informed the day prior that it would be a “telehealth visit” by the lady who called me to confirm the appointment. I asked why and she said due to Covid. I thought that was very strange because even the two visits prior, a PHYSICAL doctor saw me….even during Covid!!! Not someone on a television screen. I went anyway today and was not impressed in the least by the “telehealth” process. I was checked in and went through the normal tests anyone would take with the eye scan, puff machine, etc etc. I was then taken to the actual exam room where a television was set up with a camera. After again going through several tests with reading the letters on the screen(with a nurse who controlled the machine remotely) I was told to wait for the actual doctor to appear on screen to review the results of my test. I waited for almost 40 minutes until the doctor appeared on the screen to speak to me. Again, I am not in favor of this transition to telehealth as Covid is beyond over. I want a physical doctor to look at my eyes, not someone remotely on a screen. Lastly, this Severn location has gone downhill really quick in a years time since the last time I visited in terms of customer service and vibe. I will definitely be looking for a new eye doctor next year.

Excellent business. Great place to get good glasses, but insurance issues aren't handled well if there's the slightest issue. Other than that Excellent service, great selection and friendly staff.

This is my third visit to Visionworks on Severn, and I have had nothing but an amazing experience! Both eye exams were thorough and the doctors took the time to discuss exactly the changes in my prescription. Ashley was so kind and helpful on the floor when it came to my frame selection! She is very personable, and she encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try a fun frame that I had picked out. It was perfect! They became my favorite glasses, and I almost rebought them this time around. Once again today, Ashley was very helpful in my frame selection, and she helped me affirm that one frame I was torn on wasn’t quite right for my face and helped me pick the pair I ordered. She also took the time to walk through each lens option that would work for me, my prescription, and my work/lifestyle. I keep coming back because all the staff has always been wonderful, and I know that Ashley has the knowledge and experience to answer any questions and help me find my perfect pair!
