I was diagnosed with kerataconus in my early twenties and went to several doctors before I was referred to Doctor Volker. She had just started to practice when I began seeing her. Thanks to this wonderful woman and her incredible technician … More
Dr Volker is a terrific doctor, very skilled and highly professional.
I have keratoconus and she provides clarity both with her thorough contact fitting and in her detailed explanations. I highly recommend her and the entire team at Yale Eye.

I have been a patient of Dr Volker since she started practice. She is the best eye doctor I have ever had. She is personable, thorough and very good at getting me the right prescription. I am 82 years old and I have had contacts for 42 years. I also have kerataconus in my right eye and it's corrected beautifully.

I was referred to Dr Volker after suffering an eye injury that left me visually impaired in my right eye. I had my appointment with her in January of 2024. I thought I had made clear prior to, that I was seeking to have a cosmetic soft lens for my eye, but when I arrived they had the thick lens there for me to try. Okay so we had miscommunication, they then took pictures of my eyes and was told they would send out the pictures to an artist to paint the custom lens. Since then I had reached out multiple times via the patient portal to Dr. Volker directly (never read or received messages back), phone calls upon phone calls and finally after even more calls from me, I received help from a customer support agent who contacted her managers to help me get answers. I finally received a call back late August early September, being told that who ever was in charge of sending out these pictures and requests hadn’t been in the office, until the week prior to receiving a phone call back ? The woman had an attitude when I pointed out that I had been seen in January and that it had been about 8 months since my visit and unacceptable that only now were my pictures being sent out ? She was not apologetic and again said she was on leave and that she was going to reach out to Dr. Volker to clarify details before sending out my pictures etc. it’s now 13 months since my initial visit and 6 months since that phone call in late August early September, I haven’t received any further communication pertaining to my lens. Dr. Volker her self was very kind and understanding that as a young woman that I had a horrible life changing event that left me visually impaired and that I was hoping for this lens to bring back some of my confidence and normalcy to my life. Unfortunately the experience since leaving her office has been anything but kind. I feel sad even having to write this review because I was hoping that by now I would’ve had my lens, but sadly nothing.
