Positively pitiful. When I called the Walmart Folly Road eye center, they told me they accepted my insurance. Good- I needed reading glasses ASAP and they told me it would be about 4-5 days. Great. So I go there. I had a prescription and just needed the frames and lenses. The “technician “ was un helpful, unknowledgeable, and unpleasant. She offered no help or advice on choosing a frame, so, I chose a middle-of-the- road one thinking it would be fine. She didn’t ask about any add-ons I might need, (scratch resistant,UV coating, etc) and I didn’t think to ask, but you would think that might be part of the job…the only thing she did try to sell me was breakage insurance. She asked me if I was “rough” on my glasses which I said no to, since I had had my old ones for several years with no problems. That seemed odd at that moment. Well, here it is about a month and a half later and the lenses have some fog that can’t be cleaned off and a lot of scratches on them which must be caused by rubbing against my shirt as I wear them on a strap around my neck and don’t take them on and off or lay them around. So, then, this evening I take them from around my neck and lay them on my desk as I was off to bed, and the right earpiece just fell off. Very irritating. But back to the eye center. I chose the glasses and presented my insurance card to her and was told that they only offered “partial” coverage with my insurance, and they would not accept my insurance for the frame and lenses. I asked why they didn’t tell me that when I had called them about an hour before I got there. No answer. So, I paid the bill and left. So, the reason for the one star is that, sure enough, about 5 days later they were ready. Good ! But the minus 4 stars is the lack of service, the pitiful quality of their product and the lousy personnel in the eye center. I will use my remaining insurance to purchase a new pair from a more reputable dispenser, and never darken their doorstep again. At least now I know why they wanted to sell me their breakage package! All that being said, it really isn’t that big of a deal, other than it being annoying that the $250.00 frame lasted less than 2 months, I , fortunately can afford it, but how awful that they would sell such an inferior product to those people who CANNOT afford to go to a better quality dispenser and must rely on WALMART. Shame on you.

I’m here on vacation, and these folks rallied some busted glasses that got sat on into better-than-before glasses at no cost. I so incredibly appreciate the staff’s kind, calm, manner and helpfulness. Highly recommend!

If I could rate this place a zero I would, the ladies in the vision center itself are nice but Dr.sun is a total quack, I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here very unprofessional and a total waste of time will also be contacting cooperate. Defer my mom GFY.
